A new favorite!
Fantastic beers. Fantastic food (especially, of course, the Currywurst), and fantastic staff. Very pleasant atmosphere. A new favorite!

Cute
Cute littel bar with German flair. Love the Kolsch. Oddly, this place seems to fill with Asians!

best wurst around
I dropped into this place a few weeks ago. It's small but cozy and very friendly. The owner has a large selection of good German beers including some obscure ones, he serves them all with correct glassware with is a great touch. Sausages and fries are tasty and good value. I sat at the bar near the door and chatted with the staff and a few other customers, the place has a friendly cozy atmosphere. The back has more seats for the larger beer drinking groups. Great photo of the owner's aunt and uncle on the wall inside!

Good wurst, not great value
Curry Wurst was very good. But, for $9 got 1 wurst, small amount of fries and sauerkraut. this place is very small with just a couple of tables.

Great Addition to the East Village
Stopped by this place tonight, as all of our usual spots had a wait, but we were glad we did! We were two people and ordered: 2 beers, a potato salad, sauerkraut, a currywurst with fries and a bratwurst w/ roll. Total: $29. Can't beat the price and it was very filling. The owners were ready to answer any questions and heard them recommending beers to go with the different wursts. This is a small place, so we ate at the bar, which was comfortable, and they also have tables, so it could be fun to go with a group. Can't wait to go back and try the other types of wurst--they all seemed very authentic. The atmosphere was fun, and they were playing a great selection of music. If you like Lorely, Cafe Katja, Zum Schneider, give this place a try!

Fantastic Place
It's nice that places like Zum Schneider exist, where you can get Hofbrau Haus and a plate of bratwurst. But that's sort of "tourist" level stuff. This place is working on a much better experience. First off, the beer selection is a range of rarely seen choices, that are really exceptional. And the brats are served like proper street-food, on paper plates. Which is the right way. This place is fantastic.

Excellent Currywurst + Service
Really good place in NYC to have authentic German Currywurst. Very friendly service and high quality food at affordable prices. Definitely a strong "recommend"!
