what an improvement!
This neighborhood restaurant has done an AMAZING TURNAROUND! There must be a new chef because there are new lunch, dinner and brunch menus! And maybe even new management because the quality of the food, service and presentation has improved DRAMATICALLY. I had been there before and was not impressed but had friends in town who wanted to go to brunch there because it's such a cool looking spot. I was hesitant but went and there was a new menu and a really positive vibe that was missing before. To my amazement, the food came out right away and it was really excellent. Our waitress told us the chef is new and brought all the menus for us to look at, including a classy rolled up Valentine's Day Menu with Champagne Chicken & Lobster Ravioli, yum. Whatever you are doing Water Street, keep it up! This is more like it!

Waste of time and money.
I totally agree that the service is not good at all, the food comes out luke warm, and the food is not even good.

What's up with this place
Sunday Brunch is supposed to be a relaxing time, when I went to Water street I just got frustrated. The waiter ignored us, the food was luke warm to cold and just not so good. The atmosphere is decent. One good point was the live music that played not to loud but played some songs that everyone could get into. I would go back but it would not be my usual brunch spot.

FANTASTIC!!!!!
I have lived around the corner for about 7 months, but had not taken the time to go to this restaurant...big mistake! It was FANTASTIC!!!! The atmosphere, food, and service were all superb. I highly recommend this restaurant and their beef tenderloin...delish!

Frozen Food
I was here on a friday night and the food was beyond disappointing. We've eaten here a couple of times and decided to give the place one last shot. The waiter admitted our chicken taco appetizer ($6) was frozen. He did not admit to my $17 crab cake being frozen, but it was hot on the outside and very cold in the center which generally comes from being previously frozen. For $17 I expect actual food. Very disappointed. Definitely do not recommend.

by a visitor from London England
Just dropped in for a coffee at the bar as we were trying to pack in lots of sightseeing but as soon as we sat down we felt a welcoming atmosphere and ended up eating, drinking and staying for an hour or two. Barman was very helpful and friendly, thank goodness there are still guys around like this, Food absolutely fine. Beer good, coffee good, very interesting decor, historic photos etc in the back room, definitely recommend it, just hope all their staff are as good, I always say there are only two things an eatery needs, good staff and good food, and number one is good staff, if they are good they will sort out the food if its not right.

great place!!
my friends and i went here for lunch one day and loved it!! the food is good - i had the water street burger which was delish! my friends ordered some of the specials of the day and they were satisfied. the service is awesome! very friendly waitstaff and prompt service. we were there when it was packed too, so i think that says a lot. i would definitely go back here again!!
