The best 24 hour place in the village. I order take out all the time, always get what I as for. Sometimes they are backed up so it takes a bit longer but still hot and fresh when it gets here. Usually I go there on weekends when I have more time. The wait staff has been the same forever, so they pretty much know what we order and its always yummy.

I live in the neighborhood & go to the diner sometimes, but mostly just do delivery. Usually they're good, but recently their delivery service has been lacking. The guys will show up at the wrong address- sometimes across the street- and get upset with me & my roommate for calling too much to ask why it's taking an hour to get our food. Tonight I called and the guy on the phone put me on hold several times and then got upset and was rude when I ordered the wrong soup and tried to correct my own mistake. I said forget it and forget it. I probably won't be ordering delivery from them for a while, and since we rarely stop in to sit down for a meal, they probably won't be seeing much of us anymore.

Wouldn't go here for diner but def some always great standbys. The wraps are great and most egg dishes are really good. Awesome for delivery. I'm always amazed at how quick they're here and the accuracy with my order. Always a pleasant place to come at 4 am with a laptop...really comfy and right by 6th ave.

Can't argue with the Washington Square diner, been around for years, open 24 hours, the only place to order food from at absurd hours in the village. Delivery is quick, rarely do they make mistakes. The food is never truly disappointing and most of the time it's exactly what you were looking for.

i was just a bit hungry...so i went there..the food was really nice...SIMPLE and YUMMY! HashBrowns and a Sesame Bagel with REALLY YUMMY cream cheese and Grape Jelly! it was GREAT! Loved It! :-)

I thought I'd try this place as an alternative to my personal favorite, The Square Diner (it also came up as a search result -- seemed like a hint to me). The Washington Square Diner has a nicer atmosphere, more comfortable seating, and much friendlier and more attentive service. In all those points, it wins over the Square Diner (altho the Square is cheaper). But their french toast is pretty bad. I ate one piece and thought it wasn't that great, but I figured, not every place has great french toast, I might as well just cope and eat it rather than sending it back. It wasn't until mid-way through the second piece (which was much worse) that I realized the problem: the outer shell of french toast-like look and texture belied a completely normal bread interior. They had barely soaked the bread in the eggy mixture. Gross. By that point I figured nobody would take it back since I'd eaten half of it, so I just enjoyed my sausage and eggs (both of which were good). While Square Diner provides 2 sliced-open sausages when you order breakfast w/ sausage, the Washington Square Diner provides just 1 whole sausage. A little skimpier, and harder to eat, but equally delicious. I'll give them another try, but french toast lovers beware: if your french toast is bad, ask them to take it back and give you french toast that was actually soaked properly.

This diner has quality food, fast service (either to stay in, take out, or have delivered). The people are friendly and the seats are comfortable. There is nothing bad about this place- it's even open 24 hours a day. For a student, this is an amazing place because it has great food at reasonable prices- and the servings are huge enough to last for two meals! They deliever 24/7 are are always prompt and kind. They rarely mess up the details of your order and the ONE time they did- they replaced the food quickly and easily with kindness and understanding. EAT HERE - it's amazing.
