Exceptional Find
A hidden jem. Walked pass this restaurant and missed it and had to look up it's address. Love everything about this resaturant, the cheerful & attentive service, the quality & presentation of food, the fine & affordable wine. The tasting menu is of exceptional value, love every single item. The stone-grilled steak cooked at the table is worth special mentioning. The sashimi is so fresh that it dissolves in you mouth. Even the mochi dessert is a delight, it's home-made and served with special green-tea sauce. Thank you Wasan, a job well-done!

My NEW favorite Japanese Restaurant
Wasan is the best Japanese meal I have had outside of Japan. Period. This unpretentious and unassuming place blew me away. It really is a "fine dining" experience disguised as a neighborhood place. The grilled Hanger streak came out on a flat rock (heated up in the oven) and was grilled at the table with fresh vegetables. The miso glazed cod left me jealous that I did not order that one too. I ate a good portion of my gf's dinner, lol. I also had a few of the appetizers with my party. Standouts were the Yellowtail with Ponzu and the Shrimp Tempura with tortilla. The staff is as nice as can be (if you've ever been to Japan then you know what to expect). They apologized that their license to serve Sake is pending so right now it is BYOB. Don't miss this place you will not be disappointed and I doubt there is another place like it in the US!
