    Sushiscam

Yo, I used to get take out from these people, but I think tonight will be the last night I do it. This place used to be a decent bargain-- my old lady and I could feast for 21 bucks or so. Well, they took down all the prices on their online menus, and jacked everything up. We got "the usual" tonight, and it was 7 dollars more, putting in the 30 range.

    Best sushi in Greenpoint

I eat there every time I am in the neighborhood. My favorite is Wasabi Knockout.

    Attitude Check

First lets start with the takeout. once they refused to come because i in there words "don't give enough tip" which is clearly a mistake unless they want more than 5$ ? i mean come on now i only live a few blocks away not like they travled the country to bring me the food. Other than the take out. When i walk into the place they seem friendly then i get this bad vibe and they start talking there little language and i feel as if im beein talked about im not bein vain im just saying it seems like it, but other than all this the food is geat i perfur the california roll and the miso soup =) thas all folks.

    Delicious!

Some of the best sushi and japanese I've ever tasted. The fish is amazingly fresh and they have a lot of interesting items to offer. The one thing I rave about are the Shrimp Shumai dumplings. They are the best I've ever had! They are large, made fresh (not frozen) with large shrimp pieces. I wish I could eat here every day but the downside is Wasabi is expensive, like most good sushi places.

    Excellent sushi

We've eaten here for the past 3 years - I can't recommend it enough. The sashimi is always fresh and extremely high quality - they have a great range of appetizers (get the Chawan Mushi and Hotatei Masago - delicious) and the rolls are lovely too. It's great value for money and the waitresses are attentive and always remember us when we return.

    Great Eat in Sushi

When we found this place we were actually looking to go to Sapporo Haru down the block. Sapporo Haru had no customers and this plce looked relativley full so we followed the crowd. I was quite impressed by the basic dishes- reasonably priced and proportioned- but the chef's specialties were outstanding. I had the 4 season Tuna tartar which included 4 types of roe and sauces, each of which was excellently prepared. The presentation of the houce specialties belies their reasonable pricing (under $15). The non-shushi entrees were also quite nice. The duck teryaki was simply prepared with a light teryaki sauce, unlike the sugary glaze that most places pass off as teryaki. Overall an excellent place for eat in sushi with a pleasant atmosphere that is more upscale than any nearby restaurant. A short time later I ordered delivery and I was not particulary impressed- on par with Sapporo Haru but slightly more expensive. For whatever reason, their dishes don't translate well to plastic tins and aluminum foil boxes.

    Not reccommended

I ordered take out from Wasabi and was disappointed with the food quality. The fish was fishy and tasted as if it was previously frozen. Also, the miso soup was watered-down and lacking flavor.
