    We're done with this place

We've ordered from Warique many times since we moved to the UWS in 2013. Tonight will be the last. Usually, the food is good, but too many times they've kept us waiting way too long. Tonight It's been an hour and a half, and my husband just called for the second time asking where the food is, and I'm so hungry I just had to somehow kill timeā€¦ so I'm writing this review. Update: It's now been an hour and 50 minutes and my husband's on the phone with them. It's the fourth call and this new person started asking what we ordered. Turns out the cook never even got the order, and the other three people were telling us that the food was coming. We ordered via Seamless and received confirmation. Just checked the bank and, sure enough, they took our money. Okay, time to eat now. Hubby put together some leftovers.

    I will totally recomend

Tacu tacu , antichuchos and pescado a lo macho were amazing!!!. it takes a little long for the food but it is definitely worth the wait. Every employee is to courteous and willing to help. We had a great time.

    accommodating

First time for a party of 2 adults and a toddler. Service was nice and they even went off the menu and prepared a delicious chicharron sandwich. That they were so accommodating was a very nice surprise. My husband really enjoyed the sandwich. The ceviche mixto was the best I had in the USA. Although the anticuchos were just ok and salty for my taste. Overall we definitely will recommend this place.

    Inadequate Tipping Policies

Had dinner at Warique last night, Tuesday June 3rd, 2014. Food was very good. However, I will not be returning. The waitresses seemed bothered by the clients when waived over. But the absolute cherry on top is the 20% gratuity the establishment imposes on all customers regardless if you eating by yourself.

    Outstanding Peruvian restaurant

My wife and I ate here for lunch for the first time. I'm Peruvian and we both love Peruvian food, so we were excited to try it out. Service was fast and good, and the food was just spectacular! We ordered three dishes to share: a ceviche tradicional, causa de pollo and tacu tacu lomo saltado, and each and every dish was outstanding! Will definitely go again. Really recommend it!

    Poorest service ever!

I've never been to a restaurant with poorer service. The fact that we had reservations was of no interest to the staff. After finally being seated, we ordered drinks, which never came. We pleaded with our waitress who reported every five minutes that the bartender was making them. After 30 minutes, I went to the bar and was told by the bartender that he was out of ingredients for the restaurant's SIGNATURE cocktail. "Were you ever going to tell us?" Response: "Um." I saw some drinks on a tray and took them to our table. I didn't care what was in them at that point. While the food was good enough, the service was so appalling.
