    Excellent Food But.......

We were a party of eight at Walle's the other evening and spent a great deal of money. The food was really excellent, the service was lacking and the drinks for $12 each were hardly worth the $$$$. The least they could do is pour a decent drink here. Fine entertainment from Barrett on Friday evenings but they must improve the bar and at least serve a decent drink for the prices they charge for them.

    Disappointment

Great atmosphere along with decor. I saw oysterini on their drink menu and was excited to try it. I watch the bartender make it and they made it with Barton's vodka! Clearly I have been mistaken because on the menu it said Grey Goose. I did not want to make a scene. I can't imagine what else they compensate for the price they are charging people. Never again!

Absolutely fantastic - my new neighborhood favorite!

Just had dinner at Wall-e, and it was amazing. The food is so creative and delicious. My husband's filet was slightly oversalted (though still very good), and when he mentioned it, the waitress asked if he thought it was the steak, the sauce, etc. Her interest in honing in on what may be the problem was great. In that vein, the service was exceptional. They were really helpful with the menu, and they were there to clean up every drop or spill in no time. The piano music was also great. I felt kind of bad - it was gorgeous out so we stayed seated outside, and I think the piano player was playing to an empty room. But, everyone outside could hear it and loved it. Overall, I think it was a fantastic meal, and it's a great addition to the neighborhood. We needed something new in the area, and I'll happily go back any night of the week for a relaxing, atmospheric meal.

    Oyster martini!

Addictive! I need another. By the way, the Pu Pu Platter was really good and a good value. My wife and I had fun with it. We also liked the black cod dish. Very tasty! And the ribs were really good. I never had an oyster martini before but now I crave it. Great looking place. Hope to go there again soon.

    Extremely disappointing

Went for dinner with my husband to try the new neighborhood "gem" -- the place looks great and the service was good... but the food was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the $80+ we paid!

    Great Local Addition

Dinner with my wife last night. Food was delicious. Drinks were perfect. Service was outstanding. Place was quiet, though we were there on the early side. Need to get some "hype" going. Also, need to re-name the "shoestring" fries. They are simply a slim version of French Fries. Overall, felt it was a great value, with un-rushed service. Will for sure be back.

"Walle" The best new Rest. in NYC

just had a meal at "Walle" Rest. old "Il Nido" location, liked " Il Nido " but, New Rest. " Walle " is even better, chic deco , comfortable dinning.... Their Fried Oyster was heavenly. The spicy baby back-rib is to die for.
