This is perhaps the only decent place open late in our lovely Tribeca town. Are we living in some back country hamlet or what? Must every reasonably priced restaurant and deli close after 10 oclock. Walkers is open as late as 1:00 Am and the food is consistently good. A little pricier then say, South's, but the place has a nice atmosphere and crayons to play with in the wee hours (For tribeca dining that starts after midnight)...

No matter how many times we say "let's get out of the neighbourhood to try something new," we always end up coming back to Walker's... usually every week. Although there are two back rooms for quieter dining, the pub-style atmosphere up front is the better choice. The food is consistently good (the burger a definitive favourite) and there's no better place to sit on a Sunday afternoon to share a few pints with friends. Classic.

This place is excelllent! Just looking for a bar? Need lunch? Want a nice romantic dinner With 3 rooms walkers can accomodate all. The front room is more of the bar atmosphere where you can also eat at the tables. I was suprised when I realized there were two other rooms that offered a quieter atmosphere. Walker's is great if you have children and for adults as the food is excellent and comes at a good value. The place definetly has a charm that comes with being there for so long. As many restaurants try and be chic, Walker's has no identity crisis and can focus on the food and service.
