Okay, the place is not nice, fancy and maybe not so clean but the food is always great! It is moderately priced and they have great specials as well!! If you are looking for a good place to go downtown for good food, this place rocks!

Called in to place a small team lunch order at 11:30 to beat the rush. Despite the early hour, I was brusquely told I 'needed' to wait, and then placed on hold for 10 min. Food arrived quickly, but perhaps they shouldn't have rushed. My burger, ordered medium-well, arrived rare, fries soggy. I requested sides of ketchup and mustard but received neither. Frankly, the food isn't really worth the expense. Perhaps dine-in is better, but I'd rather go somewhere, anywhere, else.

I just had lunch at Walkers and the burger was AWESOME! It was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy! The cheese melted over the meat like the perfect marriage of meat and cheese. The bun was perfectly warmed and toasted! The portion was GREAT! What I enjoyed even more than the food was the waiter with the southern accent and great sense of humor. I would take a trip back to Walker's just to see him for a laugh or two! Walker's is not the fanciest place in New York but it has a charm and appeals to a real foody like myself!

Went here a couple months ago with a group of friends - the burger was absolutely amazing - cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. The service was terrible - took forever to get a beer - a lukewarm beer at that. The place is pretty dingy - but if you're looking for an awesome burger this is the place to go.

What can you say? It lives up to its promise, and fulfills its role. Huge portions -- the appetizers are entree sized, and can easily be split (except for the soups, which are a bit expensive, as I recall). Great beers on tap, don't miss the desserts. The service is poor, even though everybody seems to be very frantic. If you want any chance of having a conversation, ask for a seat in one of the back rooms, but even those can be noisy.

I've worked in TriBeCa for more than 15 years and have enjoyed countless lunches at Walker's, and quite a few dinners. The food is excellently prepared (I judge all other burgers against the Walker's burger -- it's that good) and well-priced for the area. The service is friendly and attentive without being cloying or overbearing, but I agree that at lunch time, especially on Friday, you can expect to wait a bit longer to be served. My only negative is that full dinner service does not begin until 6PM, and that makes it hard to eat there and still make an 8PM curtain or an early movie. But you will not go wrong eating at this solid establishment. I look forward to many more meals there in the future.

It was raining like crazy when we arrived. We were promptly greated and taken to a table in the second room. Got our beers quickly. His burger, ordered Medium-rare, was more like Seared Rare - still good and huge (like Dad's backyard style)! Excellent fries. Her quesadilla of the day (pork and cheddar), very nice. Black beans were excellent; rice was slightly underdone; pico de gallo amazing! Total bill = $30. Next time, we'll definitely try the bar area; they had the basketball game on.
