they made a mistake with my order and when I called they said they were too busy to bring me the correct order.

I would much rather hang out and EAT at Walker's than Elaine's. This is a must stop for newcomers to the city no matter what time of day or night.

i can't say a bad thing about this place..its just a bar but the food is not "bar food"..i can honestly say i have never had a bad meal here. watch the appetizer portions they are huge.

I live two blocks from Walkers and for 30 years. I have eaten in many places in the neighborhood, Walkers has consistantly been the best, for everything , when my family comes to visit they all want to go to Wakers. The food has been excellent and they have changed chefs over the years, the service has been great , yes one waiter might take your order and another serve it, how surprising is that ? not surprising at all if you've eaten out of this country.The service there is terrific and always has been , they're certainly not going to fawn over you or gush that you're there, so if that's what you want you'll be disappointed. Walkers is worth it on all levels , I highly recommend it.

We live around the corner, hoped to try the new Korean place on West Broadway but it was closed this rainy Sunday night, so we gave Walker's a chance, having sworn never to return after a dismal experience with the bouilliabase some years back. Sure, we should never have ordered the bouilliabase, and it's not like any of us died or anything, but it can be tough to overcome that sort of thing. I had a cheddar burger with salad instead of fries, my daughter had the buffalo wings with the sauce on the side, and my wife had the salad nicoise. These were each just as they needed to be -- tasty, satisfying, reasonable. We shared a brownie sundae for dessert that was very good. The wine by the glass was overpriced, the beer a better bet, the service was truly disorienting: a sullen waitress took our order, a sunny one delivered our food. Two terrific jazz musicians played guitar and bass. On this rainy night, Walker's was just the thing.

Okay, the place is not nice, fancy and maybe not so clean but the food is always great! It is moderately priced and they have great specials as well!! If you are looking for a good place to go downtown for good food, this place rocks!

Called in to place a small team lunch order at 11:30 to beat the rush. Despite the early hour, I was brusquely told I 'needed' to wait, and then placed on hold for 10 min. Food arrived quickly, but perhaps they shouldn't have rushed. My burger, ordered medium-well, arrived rare, fries soggy. I requested sides of ketchup and mustard but received neither. Frankly, the food isn't really worth the expense. Perhaps dine-in is better, but I'd rather go somewhere, anywhere, else.
