Casual place with great food, Williamsburg style

That place is cool! Food is great and stuff are easy going and nice. At first, from the outside I was thinking it`s a typical Asian food store and ran there for Shrimp fried rise, but instead discover a casual place with New Yorkers work inside and who speak perfect English so I didn`t faced a troubles to order my food the way I want it . I`ve been living in Williamsburg for period of time and Wacky Wok rather belongs there, I totally do not understand what the bad reviews are all about.

Looking for flavor not bland & sauceless food

A little disappointing for expensive take out. Unless, of course you like everything bland and dry. Ordered the Peking Duck Buns, looked decent at first, until you take a bite. Not enough Hoisin sauce. Yucca fries came without the lime sauce, so they were dry. Coconut Lemongrass ckn soup, no flavor. Soup tasted watered down and no hint of lemongrass to be found. Pad Thai rice noodles ordered with the Wacky Wok House sauce. I guess they forgot to add it because that was also dry! The noodles were all stuck together. Last but not least, I had the Ckn wings which had sauce but Ckn was soggy not crunchy. With a take out price of $26.00, I will not be ordering from this overpriced joint again.

    Great Fresh Chinese Food!

Tried take out from Wacky Wok and it was the best and freshest Chinese food that I have had in the neighborhood. Made my own dish and of delicious tofu and eggplant with jasmine rice and house sauce (the small size was more than adequate for one). This is a really good alternative if you want healthy at a reasonable price.

    Delicious

This place has become our new favorite take out. We always make our own dish so I can't speak of the others on the menu. The vegetables are fresh and the chicken is great! During delivery the sauce usually sinks to the bottom of the container but if you mix it up before starting to eat it's wonderful.

    Not recommended

I ordered the Malayasian curry sauce with shrimp. The shrimp were miniscule in size and few in number. The "sauce" was truly non-existent. The dish tasted only of smoky oil. I have been unable to get rid of the oil taste in my mouth and it is now the next day. The best part of the meal...... the delivery was fast.

    Better Than Regular Chinese Food!!!

Anyone that gave this take-out place a bad review just does not appreciate fresh, good, healthy food! So, sometimes they get the ingredients wrong, but it is still delicious. The rainbow rice is to die for! The wacky wok or barbeque sauce is my favorite. The food is stir fried fresh and not drowning in sauce like in a cheap chinese take out place. Wait, did someone actually complain about PICKING YOUR OWN INGREDIENTS? This is a PLUS, not a minus. Can't tell you how many times I have to ask a regular chinese place to add a different ingredient because none of their regular dishes have all of the veggies I want in it. If you want healthy, high quality food and exactly what YOU want, then Wacky Wok is the place to go.
