Love Sichuan food and I have been to most of the Sichuan restaurants in flushing, upper eastside, and even some in Chinatown. My wife and I passed by the restaurant on the way home around two month ago (right before it was open), and decide to try it a couple of week later. I have to say, so far this is the best among dozens of "Sichuan" restaurants we have been to. To me always felt that Sichun food is a acquired taste. If you try to cater your food to your customer then you lose your identity. I hope this one will stick to its authenticity. Please don't start adding sugar in it, please.

I love Sichuan. So I was very happy to see this place out the window of my cab. On my way back uptown, I stopped off and had an amazing lunch. The porks dumplings and twice cooked streaky pork were delicious. I love spicy food so I was ecstatic. My wife has low tolerance for chilis, but she loved it too.

So, had someone come in and drop off a menu a few weeks back. I've since gotten take out over a dozen times. Everything I've ordered has been perfect. Never too mildly spiced, quality of ingredients is amazing... and the staff and owners are sooo nice. My favorite lunch special... Chicken with cashew nuts (mild spicy) Brown rice, and wonton soup. The portions are MORE than enough, and the spicy prawn lunch item is amazing also. I am glad to see they are getting great reviews and I will continue to order from here over any other place.

This is by far the best chinese food north of Chinatown and can compete with any restaurant in Chinatown. The chef has a gift of combining decent heat with flavors that leave you wanting more. The prices and the service are also hlep make this place an extraordinary find. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that they make it in this town!

By far the best Singapore noodles, not greasy and very spicy. It is clear that they take a lot of care with preparation.

We went here tonight and were pleasantly surprised. The menu offered a wide variety of mouth-watering choices and the staff was very friendly. We had the shrimp dumplings, spare ribs, the lobster special and tangerine beef - all were exceptional. My boyfriend summed it up best with "all the best Chinatown has to offer without having to go Downtown."

We wandered into Wa Jeal after an evening at the Met, and by the time we finished dinner we were thinking of leaving Tribeca for the east 80's. The food is sensational, fresh, unusual and beautifully presented, the flavors are clean and bright, and the menu is filled with things we've seen nowhere else and long to try. The spicy food is brilliant, and they even have snow pea shoots, the world's best green vegetable. Lucky upper east siders.
