Never again
My partner and I use to come here all the time but to say its gone downhill is and understatement.

Great, but not cheap anymore
Vynle was always the place we went to because we loved the atmosphere and the prices were just right for great food. However, the prices have increased, and keep increasing, so that it is no longer a cheap dinner out. It makes it hard to pass up the "pricier" restaurants that may have better food because Vynl has become on of the pricier places in HK.

Fun place
Vynl is fun because of their mixed era decor, the themed bathrooms, the friendly staff and crowds. The food is okay and the service is fast. Except the place is a bit loud.

Gratuity issue
Went with a group of my high school students. Seemed fun and kitschy and the food was pretty good. When we left, we were a block and a half up the street when we realized one student wasn't with us, but looked and saw him heading our way. He told me that the waitress had caught him by the arm as he was leaving and told him we hadn't left enough money. I had collected the money myself for the specific purpose of making sure it was enough and included tip, which it most certainly did. She said the money we left barely covered the bill and what about her tip. So here's a teenager being cornered in the middle of a crowded restaurant, so, of course, he kicked in more money. Never Disappointed
I took my cousin to Vynl for the first time. Food was fresh & delicious, waiter friendly and attentive without being over bearing, restrooms exceptionally clean...Always consistant and a comfortable place to eat.

Don't Bother
Much better places in the neighborhood. Waited an hour for delivery, the order was wrong and the food just average. Now I remember why I have not ordered from there in years.

Going Downhill
I ate here a few years back and loved it. After a recent visit a few weeks ago, it seems that the effects of opening several additional locations has taken its toll on Vynl. The food now seems as if it was prepared by a line cook and has no personality or taste. We ordered several things at the table that were WAY over-salted and left our entire party disappointed. It saddens me as this place used to be good and is in my neighborhood. Too bad.
