great neighborhood place
You cannot beat the prices for the value. The food is fresh, fantastic and the menu full of choices. (Their Thai dishes are as good as any of the close-by Thai places) The staff, though usually running around frantically, is always friendly and patient with questions. I love calamari and there's is maybe the best value in Manhattan.....a huge portion done right with 2 sauces for dipping. I've taken everyone from family to dates here and they've all loved it. One message to the last reviewer, it's not Jean Georges! Stop your nitpicky wining!

Great food but...
I went to Vynl on a Monday night in order to avoid the trendy weekend crowd that fills the place up. Even on a Monday, Vynl was pretty busy with trendy wannabes but luckily we didn't have to wait for a table. I started off with a Mocha shake, which was excellent, and my eating partner had a Vynl, which was some sort of vodka drink I believe. The Vynl was pretty small for $7 and chock full of ice. I was glad I went with the shake. For an appetizer we started with the Thai wings. They were very tasty with a sweet yet slightly savory flavor. Then for main dishes we had the Lemongrass Chicken Wrap and Massaman Curry Chicken. The wrap was big and full of flavor, although I didn't think it was necessary for them to charge extra for french fries. The Massaman was also tasty, although the sauce was a little too watery and it would have been nice if they put more vegetables in besides only onions. We were further disappointed at the end of the meal when the people eating next to us each received an order of the Massaman that was literally twice as large as ours. We then noticed some other people that had a drink which looked similiar to the Vynl, except their's was in a much larger glass. Such inequality certainly brought Vynl down a notch as far as value, but even so the food did a good job of making up for it.

I love this place!
I was there last night (for the second time this week), and I've never had a bad experience. The chicken pad thai is always delish, the fried calimari is yummy, and the tuna steak is light and wonderful. Plus, the people who work there couldn't be nicer or more accomodating. This is a great neighborhood place. Always lots of fun.

Cool and Casual
Cool decor and very casual. Quick and friendly service, decent food at reasonable price. I recommend the watermelon lemonade!!! Sirloin stir-fry was good - other meals I saw people eating all looked very tasty as well. I will definitely eat here again.

Great Stuff
The fried dumplings were stupendous, OMG you have to try the eggplant parm... Belisimo.. Never before have I been to a Thai restaurant with such ample servings of Ci La Mei. I give this one two thumbs up!! Hands down.. No kidding... Hey give it a shot... You have nothing to lose.

Casual, quaint but good!
Anything you want is probably on the menu as long as you're out for a casual meal. Very reasonably priced. Enjoy!

A good Tuesday nite spot
It's nothing to write home about, but it's funky, in my neighborhood, and I love the Asian curry chicken dish. Cramped and loud, but fine overall --
