excellent thai fusion
Those rating the food only so-so are philistines. The place served some of the best Thai/fusion food that I have eaten, albeit this is from a couple of years ago. I am a fairly regular denizen of world-class restaurants with celebrity (and up-and-coming) chefs. Particularly memorable was the pancake roll starter. Ambiance, good for a date, but maybe the decor could do with a lift.

will probably return
the atmosphere is dimly lit and romantic--good date place. the service was very good, as a matter of fact we got a second dessert on the house. the only drawback for me was that the portions were too small. i got the shrimp w/ sweet/sour sauce for appetizer and the steamed red snapper and both were very good. i loved the dessert best which was a warm chocolate cake with melted chocolate in the middle and a slice of strawberry shortcake..savory but it was one mouthful :-(

really bad service
omg the food delicious the service by the wait thing his name was manuel was excellent. but the manager was rude. never go back again the days that they are there

Will Definitly Return
The ambiance of this restaurant is extremely inviting. The staff is friendly and personable with prompt service. My husband and I ate at Vong on Saturday evening and the restaurant was buzzing with people. We both opted to go with the great price fix menu which offers four courses for only $35! what a deal, especially since this is offered year round and not just during restaurant week. Each course was delicious and left us craving for a return to sample other items from the full menu which is also offered. The creative drinks were so tasty we vowed to start going there for drinks in the bar lounge. You will be missing out on a great experience if you don't try this place for yourself!

Disappointing
Taking out of town guests because of reputation of chef. Sodisappointed, very noisy, several large parties, birthday, wedding etc. Food, acceptable, service slow, seemed understaffed and disorganized. No need to return.

mediocre
This place was not great....liked my food (mussels and chili poached cod) but passion fruit soufle was disappointing. Service was slow and subpar, kept forgetting to take orders from half the table.

this place makes me sad for jean georges
This is seriously the least well-spent money I have ever spent on a meal out in NYC. The best part of the entire night was walking into the beautiful space. But unfortunately, everything went downhill the moment we sat down. The service was absolutely the most subpar service I have ever encountered. I receive better service at my corner deli than at Vong. The food was underseasoned, sometimes undercooked, and always served way too cold. After good experiences at JoJo and Spice Market, this just made me so sad.
