    Very good!

I pick up and order from here often and am always a happy customer. I heard they got new owners, and last night my meal was exceptionally good. I ordered the veggie wrap and added mushrooms and avocado and was not charged extra for it. The wrap was HUGE. Enough for 2 meals. Also ordered the spinach pie, which is a healthy version of spanikopita. (spelling is prob wrong?!) It was delicious and so healthy. Definitely recommended.

    Great staff

The food was tasty and the woman at the front counter was lovely. She was friendly and brought my food to the table as well as carried on a pleasant conversation. I ordered the turkey pizza burger tonight which was great. I've also had the recharge wrap which was very tasty. Great staff and great food!

    Embarrassing...

We ordered the grilled tofu sandwich and the tahini plate. Both were tasteless and overpriced. For $7 I got a sandwich in a non-toasted pita that was literally falling apart, inside was lettuce, tomato, avocado and tofu that was neither marinated nor grilled--basically someone opened a box of firm tofu cubed it and threw it in a sandwich. No dressing, no taste. They should be embarrassed to serve this. Here's a tip to improve your restaurant atmosphere...how about wiping down your tables? Aren't the free market forces supposed to keep a place like this from staying open and suckering in people like me (but hopefully not you)? If this place is open in a year, I'll eat my shoe. (It'll definitely taste better than that sandwich)

    Not for falafel

In my search for good, healthy, inexpensive food in this neighborhood, I gave Recharge a burl tonight, for their baked falafel. I'm a little falafel obsessed, and with two parents who lived for years in Israel, my standards for falafel and hummus are probably higher than others. I like to try baked versions when I see them, but I don't think Recharge should call this "falafel". Maybe a "baked chickpea patty" instead? Either way, I honestly couldn't finish it. It just wasn't good. At all. Neither was the hummus. I will give them another try based on the other reviews, but will stick to my tried and true places for the deliciousness of fried chickpea balls.

Best smoothie and wrap on the UES

I just walked by and saw that recharge changed the name to healthy kitchen. I have been looking for a place like this since healthalicious closed and energy kitchen is so bland. The chicken parm wrap was very tasty and the cancun smoothie was great after. Will definitely come here after every workout.

    Delicious

I work near recharge. I was on my way to recharge and called for a pick up ( I ordered the healthy wrap) when i got there it was ready to go super fast especially when you have 30 min lunch break. The second time I ordered a chicken Parmesan warp for $8. It was so delicious melted cheese, grilled chicken (it's my favorite)...well it was BIG (like burrito size) I couldn't finish it and had the rest later. GREAT PRICE AND DELICIOUS...
