Thanks for the wonderful dinner
We went on Valentines - one of the few places not to have a prefix menu - dinner was great; wine selection admirable and we even chose a wine that we normally would not. The only problem was that they ran out of dessert - but then again it was a late (10 pm) reservation. It was romantic and the price was perfect and the waiter was wonderful.

Not worth the time
Poor service, dining room)curtains and lamp shades). Only one table occupied in the Restaurant and waited to be acknowledged. Antipasta was not fresh and mozzarella was tasteless. Salad was good but very small in size. Overall, very disappointing.

Not worth it
The food was salty with small portions. The prices quoted on their menu from their website did not reflect the current prices. 2 small plates of pasta with tax and delivery was $35. The one good thing I can say is the delivery was prompt, that is about it.

Elegant Italian Restaurant
Vivolo continues to be one of our favorite Italian Restaurants. We love the elegance of the townhouse setting and for the food, service and ambiance and customers....... Thank God, it does not attract tons of chic anorexic supermodels under 21 with old men (over 65) or Yuppies trying to impress filling up the place. It is a pleasure to dine in the presence of mature, respectable adults dressed in clothing that covers most of the body eating in a refined setting WITHOUT loud music and constanting ringing of cell phones/blackberries.... We are so glad Vivolo is true to its original roots and we hope it stays this way. We will continue to return with our friends, family and clients because we know we will be guaranteed of good food for the price and in a setting with simple refined quiet elegance and with people who do not have to broadcast that "they have arrived!".

aging sage
gee! have eaten almost everywhere in the world-have climbed through the jungles of new guinea- have traveled bangkok to beijing this year and have had a show of my recent work appear in a fine gallery this year so i can understand the previous review of a mere 26 year olds intimidation among us aging folks---but i do know food including some truly underground places!! and vivolo is really a very pleasant place to dine in. oh well i guess some people are too young to learn..too bad.

Love it, had my wedding dinner there
My husband has been going to Vivolo's for more than 10 years and we love this cozy place with the best food and service. We had our wedding reception there (the party wasn't very big) and we sat upstairs and everybody was impressed by the quality of the food and the service. I can only recommend vivolo if you seek a wonderful, romantic evening.
