    disappointed

I though spending $20 at a bbque joint would be worth it. The side were too small. I think for $20 I should get more than a tablespoon of cole slaw. The chicken was dry and tasted as it had been under a hot lamp for hours. I am sad to say I would never buy from Virgils again.

    Yummyyy!!

Virgil's is a must, if you haven't been you are missing out! I can't go to NYC without going there. The apps are so good, I fill up on them before I even get to dinner. The biscuits and gravy are delicious, gravy is so rich you want to eat it with a spoon - and I do! The wings are the best I have ever had. They are full of flavor without the soupy mess of traditional hot wings(which don't compare) and the home made blue cheese adds the perfect balance! The mashed potatoes, collard greens, and corn bread are a great addition to any entree (which I usually can't eat because I have to save room for the Key Lime Pie)! Hope you love it as much as I do!

    Mixed Feelings

My family and I visited Virgil's last night after seeing a show. The service was good -- everyone was very pleasant and patient -- and the music was terrific. Unfortunately we didn't feel that the food was all that good. The collard greens were tasty, the mac and cheese was ok, and we liked the cornbread a lot, but the ribs and chicken were overcooked and flavorless. My little boy ordred the popcorn shrimp which was very salty and my husband said his burger was nothing special, We spent over $125 for dinner for five (including beverages and tip), but we could have done a lot better at Golden Chicken & Ribs over on 9th Avenue for 1/3 the price. Maybe it was an off night or maybe we just didn't order the right things. We'll give it another try -- at some point -- but I'm skeptical and have definitely had much better. Sorry, guys.

    Yummy cornbread

Virgil's is wonderful BBQ but the best part for me is their outrageously delish cornbread. It's a true standout and I'm a cornbread expert!

    Delicious bbq

Went here after trying after trying Dallas bbq cannot really compare as both totally different this was dry and spicy whilst the other was saucy and succulent. The portions were adequate but not as big as Dallas. The mashed potato with gravy and collered greens are fantastic. we shared a dessert selection which had six different desserts and was delicious. There was a good atmosphere with great music in the background and our waiter (Eddie) was very helpful as we did not know what a few things on the menu were. Overall I think this is a place to recommend for a good meal.

    Great place all around

Went for a late lunch with a friend. We split two apps....both were very tasty....and both would have each fed a party of six nicely. Then on to my main course of the delicious bbq salad...of which would have also fed six quite nicely. At Virgil's, "big portions" is synonymous with the quality of the dish.
