Worth the money!
The food was great. I made reservations for 10 people and everyone was happy with their selection. Everyone was sooo happy to be getting a doggy bag. I would recommend Virgil's and we are looking to eat there again.

A life saver
After walking all day 'doing the sites' Virgil's was a great place to relax, have a beer and some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten.

OK
Having heard great things about Virgils, decided to give it a try. I had the grilled catfish which was very good, and the baked beans & grilled veggie sides was also good. My friend had the bbq shrimp & pork ribs...the shrimp was very good, but the ribs, well, not that great. They had strange tasting spices, but no bbq sauce, so it was disappointing. Her sides included the mac & cheese, which she said was great. The portions are large, service is adequate, prices ok. I would go again and try some of the other menu items. Did expect more, but was not unsatisfied.

Best bbq in town
We had lunch here twice this past weekend (Easter) and want to open our own Virgil's here in Toronto. There is nothing like it here. Both lunches I had the 2 meat combo, the pulled pork and brisket were my favourite. Huge mounds of soft tender juicy, smokey meat, two sides (I choose Georgian Pecan Rice and BBQ Baked Beans) plus a corn bread. My husband had the Kansas City Fried Chicken.. amazing. You can smell the smoke cooking from down the street.. Excellent selection of domestic and imported beers

Good BBQ
Went with friends the food was geat - the collard greens were awesome. And make sure you try the mac and cheese - kraft better watch out. Overall great. Service a bit slow but the food made up for it.

Not Good BBQ
I was excited about trying Virgil's. I got a rack of ribs with sides. The rib sauce was nasty- really nasty tasting. Bottled sauce is ten times better. The portions were generous, and had the ribs tasted better it would've been a real soul food experience. Very disappointing...

Best BBQ in NYC
The BBQ wings are SOOO delicious. The sauce is indescribably delicious. I ordered them for an appetizer but it was soo satisfying that I didn't really need an entree. However, I ordered one any way. I had the Shrimp and meat. You get 5 BBQ shrimp and your choice of chicken, ribs, and I can't remember what else. You also get your choice of two sides so I had the Macaroni and cheese (which was so-so), along with the collard greens (those were good). Also to start I had a Frozen Apple Martini. I didn't even know they made those but it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any one who loves to eat bar-b-que.
