    Brisket of Beef Heaven

This is where top quality brisket goes to be devoured....awesome....best ever. Their dessert sampler is sinful as are the portions and the location couldn't be beatter for a trip to the theater. Highly recommended.

Will be back just for the ribs

Ribs were great, especially with the sauce. It was reasonably priced too. But "virgil's burger" was bland! Will not recommend it. If there's just 2 of you dining, don't expect too much privacy. Tables are placed so near each other that you'll hear other people's conversation.

    I love virgils

Virgil's is great food reasonably prices. It's always crowded but the food comes in a new york minute. The hush puppies are to die for. The frozen apple martinis are the absolute best.

    Great BBQ!

Simple but delicious menu (especially the warm cornbread, pulled pork and fries). Good service too. Only drawback is the location, which makes it feel a bit touristy. Still, good to know there's at least one reliably good place to eat in Times Square.

    Disappointed

I went to Virgil's a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't go back. I have had better barbecue elsewhere. Overpriced like everything in NYC.

    Pretty good southern style BBQ

I am from the south and love good BBQ - ribs, pulled pork. This isn't as good as southern BBQ joints, IMHO, but hey, this is NYC. The pulled pork is good BUT they add sauce before hand - not the best. The ribs are excellent and you must try the chess pie for dessert - slice of chocolate and a slice of lemon - and eat together - yummm... The wait staff are nice and attentive. This is among the best BBQ in NYC. I have eaten here numberous times and Virgils is consistently good.
