indifferent
went there hoping that the competition of smith street would produce yet another good restaurant and was sorely disappointed. all the food was bland, underspiced, indifferently prepared. steer clear.

Not recommended
This place puts the ew in pad-see-ew. I'm assuming the place uses the lowest possible grade for meat. The sauce used for the spring rolls taste similar to a cleaning solution I once smelled, but never wanted to taste. The veggie dumplings were just plain unappetizing. Now I know why this place is so cheap...you pay for what you get.

Good Tai
I have been eating at Em for two years now. The food is terrific! The pad shrimp, pad tai and almost all appetizers are very good. They also have a good shrimp coconut soup that is really nice, but it is very overpriced. The service is fair, sometimes the waitresses are not too friendly. Food is served on oversized plates through that can sometimes make it awkward to eat if you are with someone else. The atmosphere is in need of color to contrast to lovely white seats that they currently have. Lunch atmoshere is not very inviting but the evening is a bit better. All in all this is a nice spot for good tai food that is reasonalbly priced .

Going down hill fast
I've been ordering takeout from Em for several years. The food used to be consistently excellent. The beef salad was tender with plenty of toasted rice and mint and lime and a complex dressing that was delicious on sticky rice. Every time I order it, the beef gets tougher, and the sauce gets harsher and less complex, the mint is long gone. The toasted rice is like gravel, when they remember to put it in. My boyfriend still likes their crispy duck dishes, though.

Not so super delivery
i love the mango salad so much, so we opted for Em over Joya. not the best idea. don't order the Duck Panaang. aside from it being cold upon delivery, the duck was so tough and overcooked that we could barely even cut it with a knife. seriously.
