Decent food, rude delivery dudes.
I've never eaten at the restaurant - I always order for delivery. The food is ok, and it arrives as it should, but the delivery dudes are rude. A few times I gave an extra dollar (making it a $3 tip) just to see if they would change their attitudes, but they weren't any nicer, so I went back down to a $2 tip, which I'm considering reducing to $1 in quarters, which would be commensurate with the service. But that particular action might require the presence of an automatic weapon of some sort, so scratch that. Vine is a good choice when you're real friggin' hungry and have limited choices. It's not the highest quality Asian cuisine, but it's not the lowest either, and the portions are pretty decent. Worth a shot. Or two.

great food & service near Barnard & Columbia
Enjoyable eating experience with delightful service. Calmari, spring rolls, ginger chicken, sushi are so fresh and tasty. Nice refuge to meet parents & students.

One of my favorite spots
I am really surprised to read some of the negative reviews. I have been eating at Vine for years..even before the name changed from Cafe Swish. I love the food. It's fresh and very flavorful. My favorite dish is the grilled mackerel I've ordered it probably 30 times. I also like the avocado salad and the salmon salad which decline a bit with the new management. I order take-out regularly with no delivery problems.

Great food, poor service
me and my girlfriend walked in and were seated pretty quickly which was nice. then the poor service took effect. before we could even take our coats off and et settled and look at the menu, we were asked 3 times if we were going to order. eventually we did order, i got the spider roll and pad-thai while my girlfriend ordered the lunch special of two kinds of sushi. the food was amazing! the sushi was so fresh and some of the best ive had in a long time... and then there was the pad thai. wow. it was amazing. i cant get over how good it was! Once again, the service was lack luster as they brought out all the food almost immediately and on our little table with their large plates it was really crowed, i eventually got soy sauce on my sleeve... lame. over all it was worth it. i think i might have them deliver tonight to see if the food matches my last visit.

just what i was hoping for
this meal was everything I was hoping for...sushi was fresh and rice was perfect and the pad thai was the standard reciepe...plenty of wasbi and soy sauce. It was such a delight to get what i order and what i was expecting. thanks!

i only tolerate them for the spicy salmon roles
seriously, the best spicy salmon roles i've ever had. but the servers are rude, and hurry you out of the restaurant. they rush you during phone ordering too. and i have never experienced such rude delivery people, almost every single time demanding a bigger tip. its ridiculous! but those spicy salmon roles.....mmmm
