Vin et Fleurs

Small and cosy place, romantic lighting. Excellent bread. Nice food presentation. Good fish but classic in french way, tender filet mignon, overcooked french fries. Snobish waiter, arrogant. Place is so tiny and waiters always walking by, pushed me several times, never excused.

The food is good and reasonably priced. The small space is charming and quaint. However on the busy day I visited, the (very polite) servers were very busy and simply overwhelmed. Consequently it was a long while before orders were taken, then another long delay before even the starter (simply two tiny pieces of bread with butter and preserves) was brought, and then even longer until mains were served. I gave up on waiting for a second cup of coffee. This wouldn't be so bad except the seating is remarkably uncomfortable so it is no fun to wait. The bench seating has a wooden ridge at the edge which digs into your legs. It's odd. Once the food finally arrived it tasted good, and I wished it got there sooner. Overall I can see the charm of the place but it was simply too uncomfortable to have to go hungry for that long while sitting on a wooden ridge.

Been here several times. It is always impressive in a semi-small downtown bistro-type place. Its not super crowded and you don't get rushed. Cute place. Food is perfect. Service is consistently very friendly. Don't sit at the table near the door, it swings open and is annoying.

I went to this small restaurant in a chilly Jan day. The restaurant is very cosy although bits of small, the waiter is very kind and helpful. The menu was full of French words, and I had to ask for his explanation. He was quite patient, waiting for almost 30 minutes until my friend joined me and ordered. Not pushy during this time. The bread here was fantastic and it was very cute. We ordered some mussel, mushroom and sea fish (forgot the French word), and it was so good. On top of that, the price was modest. I love this place.

Great place. Excellent food very reasonable. Looks like it needs support and certainly deserves it. I live nearby & would hate to see it not survive and thrive.
