I LOVE this place
This is DEFINITELY the best vietnamese sandwich in the city. The Number 13 is phenomenal -- even though I'm not a vegan, I order it over and over and over. I highly recommend this place. They also deliver with a $15 minimum and I always feel like I'm ripping them off for the amount of food $15 buys you. Try the rainbow ice -- I can't begin to tell you what's in it, but I know there's coconut, tapioca and other yummy goodness.

Excellent Sandwiches!
The Vietnamese sandwiches here are great! I'm Vietnamese so I should know. Everytime I go visit my family out of state they always ask my to buy a whole bunch of sandwiches to bring home to them. I would recommend calling in your order ahead of time if you are ordering a large amount.

Best Bahn Mi in the city
The best bahn mi sandwiches in the city hands down. The sandwiches are huge and they're loaded with meats and condiments. Bigger than the ones you get at Nicky's. It's cheap too.

Not as good as most
I've had a good amount of Banh Mi in my day and sadly, the goods here are only so-so. The prices are right, but they just lack the level of deliciousness that you think of with good vietnamese sandwiches.

Good value
Banh Mi So 1 is a tiny little place on Broome St. near Little Italy. You can barely move if there are more than 3 customers in the place.. But the prices are outstanding and the food ain't bad, considering. The owner is actually a pretty friendly guy. A banh mi is sort of like a sub sandwich, but the filling is almost entirely vegetables, even if you order the pork or chicken banh mi. It's tasty and filling, yet less "heavy" than an all-meat sandwich would be. If you're on a budget and in the area, you can't go wrong.
