Good bagels, good service
Just went to Vic's for the first time. I ordered multigrain and egg bagels. The server was very friendly and helpful and the bagels were fresh, chewy and delicious. I'll definitely go back.

food great, service miserable
Great Bagels and perfect selection/combination of toppings but do the staff have to be so miserable? One of those places where you stand at the counter for a while as staff ignore before one of them eventually grunts in your direction. Also - dont bother with the 'smoothies'...a drink that is 80% ice, 20% milk and fruit does not make a good drink. So disappointing when local shops let themselves down with horrible reluctant service

bland bagels
the bagels here are tasteless. go to daniel's across the street unless it's a Jewish holiday, then you have no alternative. I guess some people get excited about adding mango and whatnot to their cream cheese, but personally I just like a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagels and cream cheese are both bland. I applaud them serving Stumptown coffee though, that's cool, and I assume they use healthy, wholesome ingredients. but they need to work on flavor.

mmm bagels
I have been to Vic's a couple times now and I have noticed how much better they have gotten since first opening. The bagels are amazing! Always fresh and fluffy. I love that I have so many options for mix-ins. mmm mmm good!

Much Needed Murray Hill Bagel Bar
I live a few blocks away and recently discovered Vic's BB. I've been there a few times now (once for eat in and once for take out) and have not been disappointed with the quality of the bagels and their freshness. They simply have a much better taste and consistency compared to the other bagel places around MH like Daniels (which are way over priced and usually stale). The only criticism that I would have is that the service could be improved. In this case too many hands make too much work...they need to speed things up and focus on a speedy delivery!

Ugh
My fiancee and I ordered bagels from Vic's even after reading all of the horrible reviews. After almost 90 minutes, when our bagels still hadn't arrived, we called Vic's and asked them what was going on. Not only had they lost our order, which was placed via their webiste, they refused to do anything to remedy the situation. When I asked to speak to a manager he was even ruder than the phone person.

Ugh
I never write review but after visiting this place, I had to say something. I walked in and the air conditioner was not working at the beginning of August!!! I order a bagel with lox and they told me they were out of sliced lox! It is the main thing on the menu! They ended up making me a sloppy sandwich with chopped lox and charged me $9. The guy who made it kept looking back at the description to see how to make the sandwich and the cashier took her sweet time ringing me up. This place calls itself kosher but it doesn't even have a place to wash. I am definitely not coming back. This place is not worth the trip.
