Been there a couple of times but is becoming trendy and hard to get into... food and service great... not as pricey as indicated by reviews..... atmosphere depends on where you are seated... outside on the street may be the best place... that garden area is not as nice as it sounds but worth the effort to get in and try... food is a good mix of choices.... one of the best.

We wandered past ViceVersa on our 2nd day in the neighborhood and thought the menu and patio looked great. So great that we were back within a week and it exceeded our expectations. On a Friday night, the front patio was full but we told the MD we'd wait for an outside table. He said he would seat us right away at the rear patio and it was a gem. The very personable server pointed us in all the right directions (order a 1/2 plate of the gnocchi to share with the table) and at around $8-9 our Grey Goose cocktails were the most reasonably priced we've had in the city. The regulars were a friendly and fun bunch and we will certainly be back soon.

ViceVersa is a jewel of a restaurant. Excellent atmosphere - lovely decor and you don't feel hemmed in as in other theatre district eateries. Had the casoncelli alla bergamasca - fantastic! We decided not to order a dessert...and were treated with a complimentary small plate of 6 bite size sweet morsels--delicious. From the host to waiters to bus staff --- all were professional and welcoming. This is definitely on our list for NYC visits!

Been here over and over again and our most recent visit was the same wonderful dining experience. Everything was right...Hands down best Italian restaurant in the area... A must go... Especially the bargain pre-fix lunch.

i was here for restaurant week. the soup was okay, but the steak was absolutely delicious! (served with potatoes and spinach) I also ordered the carrot cake with vanilla sauce and ice cream. it was absolutely wonderful. the sorbet was good, too. overall, the experience was very pleasant. i would certainly recommend this place.

We live in the neighborhood and stumbled on the place over a two years ago. We go at least twice a month, and it has been the most consistently fantastic restaurant I have found in the city. Not enough nice things can be said about the staff, the service, and the food. Hands down, the best.

We're from MN and first time in NY. This was honestly one of the best Italian restaurants my wife and I have EVER eaten at -- I'm dead serious here. We ate at Bar Americain and Acqua Pazza as well, and both didn't hold a candle to Vice Versa. It was the best service I've ever had (water glass was never below half empty, never had to fill up my wine glass myself, quick service, and very knowledgeable staff). Food was amazing, and it was cheap for what you got, especially for NY. We even came back the next night after a play for desert and coffee/wine. Highly, highly, highly recommend. Close to theatres too!
