Great place best affordable thai in area

By far Viang Ping not only gives me a good bang for my buck money wise, the quality of food is pretty good for the area. Service can be fast or slow depending on the night but its the ues and i havent noticed any comparable difference between them and any other restaurant in the area thats delivers.. I love the duck.. and they are always courteous . All around i say 3.0 - 3.5

    Declining value for money

Myself and my wife used to regularly get delivery from here, since the food quality was very good, and a generous portion of vegetables was provided (we are both vegeterian). As of approximately 3 months ago, though, we noticed that the portions of veggies went down noticeably, and this happened for a few consecutive orders - not enough to fill me up as it used to, so we stopped ordering from here.

    No thanks

Greasiest Thai food I have eaten by a factor of 10. Ordered "Pad Gra Prow Entree" - Chicken sauteed with basil and other vegetables. It looked like this sort of dish usually does...with a quarter inch of red/orange fat floating on top. Food containers were slick with grease. For the record, I've eaten plenty of greasy take out oriental food without complaint, and I am not exactly a health food nut. Will never order from this place again.

    I should have listened...

Delivery was quick - food is not good. Pad thai is bland, and the masman is "drenched in oil" and super spicy, which is just weird. pretty unedible.

    Great food, quiet restaurant

For those who say the food is bad... try the chicken pad kee mao. This place has turned me on to thai food... definitely worth going back.

I ordered the pad thai and the tamarind duck...both were drenched in oil and arrived cold. The food was bland and not worth the price.

    Best Thai in gramercy

I do have to say, their red curry, pad thai, and curry puffs are PRETTY AMAZING! I always get my thai food here, because of the great value, and the quality of the food. They dont skimp out on the meats and vegetables like some resturants do. I think their food is flavorful. I usually get carry out or delivery, but the one time i ate in, it was pretty good. The staff is nice and and considerate. I didnt wait too long for my food either. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.
