I will concur with some of the other reviewers and say that the Pad Thai at Viang Ping is very bland but it is their curry dishes that make this retaurant so wonderful. The Peanut Curry is sweet without being overpowering. The Red Curry has a real kick to it and can be tailored to your spice tolerance. The Yellow Curry is smooth and delicious. The lunch combos (including spring and shrimp rolls with soup and salad) are not only delicious but a great deal for a NYC lunch. The dinner specials are more expensive just because it's dinner and include different appetizers (wontons) which were bland. Come for lunch skip dinner. And one important note!! It appears to be a vegetarian friendly place but the shrimp rolls apparently contain beef and the broth is beef based as well. Be sure to specify if you are a vegetarian so they can steer you in the right direction.
