Great!
My boyfriend and I went out to dinner on a very cold nice when nobody else was out. We were one of 2 couples in the restaurant and had a fantastic meal. It was nice to be out of the cold and the food was great. We had chicken egg rolls that were sooo good. I had a chicken dish with vegetables in a white sauce that was great, the sauce was flavorful. My boyfriend has a seafood dish that was good and filled with all types of seafood. Two glasses of good wine too! Check under $50.

Wonderful food
My son has been telling me for years that this is his favorite restaurant in NYC. and last night my husband and myself joined him there for dinner. Three of the dishes were outstanding. The lobster, shanghi chicken and the beer battered shrimp were perfect. We were a little disappointed in the whole shrimp with ginger. The service was very good. We look forward to going back again and this time we will try the pork chops that we have heard are delicious. It was worth the trip from Rockland County to drive to this gem of a restaurant.

Authentic?
Well, I have been on a crazy Vietnamese food hunt lately, especially in Midtown East and Upper East. I have to say, I like the decor of this place. The service was very tentative. The food , however, was actually a bit disappointing. I had Pho and a Shrimp with Sugar Cane. The beef was a bit rough, rice noodle was overcooked. As for the shrimp with sugar cane, don't order it. Not sure what the others ordered, but I would only go back for a coffee to lounge around their outdoor tables.

You'll never want to eat any other Asian
I Luvv this place. Tired of the old msg ridden Chinese? or the same old Japanese? You'll probably never go back after trying Vietnamese & Vermicelli is the best I've found. I order from Vermicelli at least once a week. I am completely ADDICTED to the pho cari (light curry seafooid noodle soup). The flavors are spectacular and the value is emmense. Their com chien house fried rice (and I've tried others) is always flavorful and made with the most fresh ingredients. It is usually chock full of shrimp too! Other dishes like the com bo nuong and suon nuong are great healthy choices. Just good grade meat, grilled with bursting spices over jasmine rice. I suggest ordering for lunch. It is a great value and you'll have leftovers that you'll want to eat over and over again for days. Don't miss out on this place. It's a true treasure.

Poor service, not enough options for vegetarians
Although the restaurant looks spectacular, it doesn't make up for the numerous times i've had problems with the service here. Delivery orders are usually missing something, and I have to call them to get them to deliver the rest of what i've paid for. At the restaurant itself, they've forgotten whole entire entrees. The last time I was there, they only served 1 entree for the three of us. Also, there's only one or two good vegetarian options, which is unusual for a vietnamese restaurant. I really hope they improve their service and expand their vegetarian options.

My Favorite Place
This has been my favorite place on the upper east side for years, if not my favorite place in the city. The food is always good if not great. the pork chops and chillean sea bass are my most reccommended dishes to people i send there. For the people who think they don't like vietnamese food (they just don't know) i always suggest the saigon chicken. It's a great way to ease them into food they are not familiar with. The staff always make you feel welcome and the delivery is fast with large portions for a cheap price..

Great Vietnamese Food at good price
I used to live 5-6 blocks up from this restaurant and me & my roommate always made it a priority to order as take out for a healthy and delicious meal at home. When you eat-in, you have an even better experience thanks to the great decore, relaxing ambiance, hip cutlery & bowls as well as high ceilings. Definitely a must see and taste on the Upper East side. Great food for good value.
