When the food arrived, it was clearly not authentic Vietnamese. When my mother and I started eating, the noodles tasted old and stringy. The lettuce and beef were also off-tasting, and the spring rolls tasted wrong and looked decrepit. Afterwards, I had a bitter-sour taste on my tongue. Never ordering from this place again.

Best last NYC supper! 8 year ago when I moved to the city I started ordering Vermicelli. I moved 5 years ago to E 97 (outside of their delivery street zone by 1 block). I've often asked V to consider delivering to me, they've said no more than a few times. Last night, I got a yes and am so thankful. The quality of ingredients is what makes this place stand out and above all the rest. Fresh herbs abound as well as quality produce. I ordered my usual bags of homemade shrimp chips with a fantastic dipping sauce, the curry Pho Cari Bein Soup, the papaya beef salad, shrimp rolls, and for a treat the banana pie which is outstanding. I'm leaving NYC for a year, but hope when I return Vermicelli will be here and will have considered adding delivery upto E 97. I'd like to come back to this great UES gem.

$10 dinner entree till 6:30. Had chicken cashew fresh mango, very good. Even use 100% recycled toilet paper in rest room.

I have eaten at the resturant and while the service was slow the food was okay. Wasn't anything to rave about I prefer La'annam down in Murray Hill. But I was craving vietnamese so I ordered delivery. The food arrived a hour later after calling 2 times, and it was cold and extremely bland. It was extremely overpriced! Never again..

Ordered online, and received the wrong order. Called and informed them of the error, they said they would send out the correct order, but 2 hours later, it still hasn't shown up. As far as the food is concerned, it was very bland. Will not be ordering from this place again.

For the neighborhood, I suppose it's alright. But if you're looking for good Vietnamese food at good prices, your best bet is to go to Chinatown. Compared to the restaurants there, this food is INCREDIBLY bland. It's also more expensive. I had soft shell crabs, a spring roll, and the soup. The roll was the only decent dish. The crab was too greasy, and its vegetable accompaniment flavorless. The soup tasted like hot water and bouillon cubes. It was so disappointing that I couldn't even finish half of it. I had to run down to a Thai place a few blocks down and get the rest of my lunch there. Bottom line: don't bother. There is better Viet to be had, all over the city. The food is mediocre at best.

This place is great food at a great price. Their banana pie alone is worth the trip. Also, good date place but the service could have been better...
