Veranda (CLOSED)

The service is slow, the host told us we would have to finish our dinner by 10:15 (we had an 8:30 seating). The food wasn’t even served until 10:30 and they tried to rush us out. Then they added 200 dollars to our bill and played dumb when we pointed that out. It turns into a club at night, we stayed for a bit after leaving because it was too crowded. The bouncer told us upon leaving that we can’t stand on the sidewalk since “we own it.” Note: You cannot buy a public sidewalk…. Will not be returning ever again. It’s a shame, despite the other reviews saying the food is bad… some of their dishes were relatively tasty.

The food is not good. Plates and forks are not lcean. Completely ruined the evening. Overpriced. No Greek would ever serve this.

I requested a table for drinks/hookah for 8pm as I was told there's is no food as a result of kitchen renovations. I walked in and everyone was unnecessarily rude. I easily received a table since there's no one here at 8:30pm and they continued with their rudeness. I wad told the curtains are sealed shut (not the case as i know from being here before) even though it's beautiful outside. Unfortunatly for them bc the renovations won't help the food (or service) quality.

Do not waste your time with this place. I had made a reservation 3 weeks earlier for a table for 6 of us on a Friday night. When I arrived I was told that they did not have any reservations for the night, as they were having a private party. The useless manager told me that the kitchen was closed for renovations, but I saw the diners eating! When I asked how would that be possible- he told me that they had actually catered in the food. The upper management here is run by what seemed to be a bunch of teenagers, and didnt seem to know how to run a fast food chain, let alone a high priced restaurant. Will never waste my time on this place again- complete joke.

For some reason I thought the food would be disappointing but I was pleasantly surprised. The zuchinni chips are fantastic my table couldn't get enough of them, everyone in my party throughly enjoyed their meals. The vegetarian plate was hearty and the lamb burger was outstanding. The lounge is a bit of a scene for me, but I look forward to going back for brunch or another dinner outside.

We had dinner last week at Veranda, sat outside in the cafe. Great spot to people watch and food was delicious. Plan on going back for brunch with my girlfriends this weekend!
