    A MUST to finish your evening!

    Best coffee in NYC - no sweetener or milk needed! Stick with the mini pastries - the cannoli are the best.

    The perfect cannoli?

    My parents have been going to Veneiro's for over 50 years. Now that I live in New York and they don't, I'm always picking up a box of cannolis, etc. for when I visit. The ricotta filling is superb, creamy, rich, satisfying, flavorful and the pastry crust is usually outstanding too. Get the chocolate dipped ones if you plan to keep them in the fridge for a couple days as plain ones get a little soggy. However, avoid the chocolate filled ones and especially avoid the frozen ones with crackery cardboard crusts that come in the kits (usually sold by ten-pack with filling on the side). Sure there are other desserts, most of them delicious. The eclair is good with their ricotta filling, though i usually prefer custard. The tarts are all wonderful, and I have a taste for their ricotta cheesecake, despite my family being prejudiced against it in favor of cream cheesecakes (Junior's in particular). Make sure you take a ticket right away if they're busy, otherwise you can walk up and order. The service can be short and not-so-sweet, but they always pack everything up well for the road. Prices are very reasonable too.

    Worth A Try

    All the desserts we tried were distinctly better than average. Very affordable. The port was a bit too much with cheesecake, I found out.

    Very Good Desserts

    I have been coming to Veniero's for a few years now. Every time I come, I try different desserts and pastries. I have yet to be disappointed. The coffee is good as well. A must do for everyone. I recommend the place to all my friends.

    Wonderful pastries

    We tried every cannoli they had, all really good, and the cheesecake. This cheesecake is seriously the best I've had. I guess they make it there? Cause there is something up here. The Cheesecake Factory has nothing on this place. If you're ever in need of a good snack, this is the place to go.

    Just desserts

    Try the cannoli and the mousse cakes. The cheesecakes and the tarts are also great. I live nearby, so I never sit down there - I just order at the counter and take my dessert home with me. Can't be beat when it gets late and you need something sweet.

    delicious but inconsistent

    Been there 2x - once horrible, once fantastic. 1st time went to sit in, weekend late night. It was really crowded, but the hostess was sweet. Unfortunately I got a frozen-solid, sweaty cannoli that tasted like cardboard. Totally didn't understand why my friends liked the place. HOWEVER, my 2nd time, weekday afternoon, picked up a huge pecan tart, couple of madeleines, and a French cannoli. While the madeleines were a tad dense, the pecan tart was ABSOLUTELY ORGASMIC, as was the fluffy-powdered-sugar-covered-gorgeous-looking French cannoli. Can't wait to go back! (although i still don't know about those Italian cannolis).
