We've been here several times and find that it can be deafeningly noisy when it gets crowded. The offerings are above average and nothing really stands out. We don't see all that fuss about their cheesecakes though. Having said that, it's really a cute place to hang out and people watch (if you don't have sensitive ears).

I grew up in the East Village and my father used to take me to this place when I was a kid. Ya in the 90's it was great, but it has gone extremely down hill over the past 10 years. Somebody I know brought over some pastries from there a few months ago and they weren't good. This place is 2.5 Stars max. I think it only stays open due to all the tourists and new comers to the neighborhood that never had Italian pastry in their life.

I was just there this past weekend with a few friends and the deserts were great. I got those mini pastries and they were fresh and very good. As far as price I don't know about the review just before this but you cannot get dessert in the city less expensive than this place unless its a dinner. I will definitely come back to this place again. My friends have been going here for years and now I know why

I don't know what happened to the store! They used to be much, much better. I always get a slice of strawberry shortcake. They are still pretty good but their mini pastires... Forget it. It's not worth it. Anyone who says they are the best had never had really good pastreis. Sorry but it's true. Oh, they raised the price so much, as well. Last time, I got a slice of strawberry shortcake and 2 miniature tiramisu, which were not good at all, and 2 tiny chocolate mousse cups that were also just ok. And it costed me around $11 bucks! I don't think I will go back there any more. It was not worth it, and it's a shame...

Hi Everyone, My family has a tradition of having cheesecakes for Thanksgiving dessert, and yet again this year Veniero's did not disappoint. We had one regular italian cheesecake and one pumpkin and both were delicious, though my favorite is always the original. Family members from Chicago were so impressed they were wondering if they deliver all the way out there. Thanks again for another tasty Thanksgiving!

I don't get the rave reviews for Veniero's. EVERY time I go here, I swear I'll never return. The pastrie LOOK good, but they're always soggy or stale. The miniatures will look lovely on your plate but aren't worth eating. Beautiful decor, but lousy pastries.
