    A must try!

I am a "new" vegetarian and this place was excellent. As good or better than any "meat" meal I have ever had! The spring rolls were excellent and both my companion (a seasoned vegeterian) and I enjoyed our meals....probably the best meal of the weekend. I highly recommend this restaurant!

    Delicious and Crowded

We have been here several times since moving to Manhattan from Michigan in September. Chinese places are remarkably cleaner seeming where we're from, and I have literally been afraid to eat Chinese food since moving. VP2 rocks our world. We LOVE the crispy soul chicken. It's amazing, as is everything we've tried. We keep wanting to take my father-in-law here to see if he can even tell that he's not eating meat! One day I popped in for lunch on my own and happened to be there when the health inspectors came, and all of them seemed perfectly satisfied. On another note, VP2 is one of those restaurants that has so many tables, so close together, that you feel like you are sitting at the same table as the total strangers next to you. We would like it if they expanded! Then perhaps the somewhat half-baked decor could be improved upon too. The waitstaff is always very courteous, and the service is fast; sometimes even lightening-fast. This is our "new favorite restaurant", as we say. We will go back as often as our pauper's income allows us to. P.S. VP2: Please improve your restroom! We know it's teeny tiny, but it could still look/feel cleaner and nicer!

    Yum!

As a carnivore (with a vegetarian partner), I can honestly say this place is the business! The food is really, really delicious - whether containing meat substitute or not. Staff are 100% po-faced, though!

The Best Vegan spot in NYC

This place is great. Its all about the food. I have been there a millions times, and the food taste the same- GREAT. I have been a vegetarian for over 11years, and I have tried lots of places in NYC. So just go for it. Bring your friends, co-workers, and dates. Its great for group fun, or one-on-one convo. Trust me! Oh, and those non-vegans love it too!

    Great food...zero atmosphere

I've been here 3 times so far....love everything I've eaten, and looking forward to trying everything else. The drawback - the atmosphere. The place looks like it's unfinished - bland booths and tables crowded together, nothing hanging on the walls to brighten it up. I wouldn't go here on a date, or out with a group of people looking for a "fun" place. I go here because the food is amazing, the value is good, and I never run out of options. I wouldn't linger here over deserts or drinks, I go here for a quick, good dinner and move on to other places in the neighborhood for the rest of my evening...

    Yummy

I have been to veg par 3 about 400 times. The crispy soul chicken is divine. The pad thai is not sweet like traditional pad thai & doesn't have eggs - - differences I prefer. My only complaint is that you can easily end up with a starchy meal that has few veggies if you aren't careful. So, be careful.

    A True Paradise For Vegetarians

The food is excellent! I live way uptown and I have made special trips there just for a meal. It is so nice to have a full meal that tastes DELICIOUS and have the ability to order food that tastes like real meat and has the texture of real meat. A definite favourite!
