Lover of the crispy chicken nuggets ,the mango chicken are to die for, and the general tso's chicken and the orange tangerine beef are the favorite of my children and mmmm mmm good. The broccoli with black mushrooms and all of the vegetable juices will elevate your health and satisfy your palates. I am from North Carolina and whenever I'm in the New York area, I have to make it a point to stop by. Top notch restaurant for vegetarians and vegans.

I have eaten and ordered from Veggie Palate since 2002 but recently I placed a catering order that was messed up. I placed the order over the phone for Curry Chicken and received Chicken Nuggets. I only order two items from this store. (Curry Chicken & Mango Chicken) I'm positive I did not order Chicken Nuggets. I had a friend pick up the order and I did not realize what was being served until it was too late. I called Veggie Palate and they have insisted that I got it wrong. I'm totally annoyed because it is highly unlikely that I asked for something I've never ordered before.

That's what drew me in the first place. I went with a friend for dinner and had to wait about five minutes befre we were noticed, even though there was only one other table occupied. Place looks clean, a bit spartan, bare wooden tables with the knife and frk rolled into a napkin at each seat. Menu is pretty extensive, divided into categories including beef, chicken, duck and seafood. All vegan. I started with miso soup and the crispy nuggets. Both portions were larger than i expected. Miso was good, with lots of tofu and seaweed. Chicken nuggets nearly blew me away. Crispy, flavorful. Could have made a meal only out of those. But we had to try other dishes. Between the two iof us we ordered the Hpawaiian chicken, Texas fried chicken and Double Delight, a combo of veggies, soy beef and chicken. All wer good. The fried chicken came with fried tater tots. Oh, yum. It came with a cup of bbq sauce for dipping. The Hawaiian chicken was similar to the fried but in strips rather than medallions. It had stir fried carrots, peppers and onions and wasmaccompanied by a bowl of sweet and sour sauce in which swam a few pieces of pineapple and a few lychees. I wasn't wowed, and if I did order this again, I'd leave the sauce. Prices aren't terrible consideing Park Slope is a high rent district. Service is a bit slow but we didn't have to wait an hour for our meals. Staff was friendly and reasonably helpful in making our choices. i'd go nack again. But I will ordermless food. We ended up taking a lot home because it was iust too much.

Please, please, Vegetarian Palate, we need you in Manhattan! I recently moved here from Brooklyn, not knowing how much I would crave your chicken nuggets, salt and pepper tenders, curry beef - all amazing, all vegan and crazily reasonable price-wise. There is nothing even remotely as good in Manhattan. Sure, there are vegan restaurants popping up all over, but they're all way overpriced and overrated compared to the simple amazingness at VP. Dear, kind, Veggie Palate owners, if you can manage it, please come to Manhattan and ease my suffering!

Their salt and pepper chicken tenders taste like real fried chicken. Their scallion pancakes are to die for. Plz plz try.

My mom introduced me to this place she has been a vegetarian for about 8 years, she got me hooked while wstill being a meat eater with the "chicken" nuggets. All there food is great! I actually forgot about this place until today when I was about to break and eat some meat, my mom suprised me with takeout, yumm! 8 months in I know I can last with places like this!
