Impressed
A very good value with tasty dishes such as Szechuan style seitan and Malaysian curry. Delivery is prompt.

Not to be confused with Wild Ginger
This place is a serious rip off of Wild Ginger. Wild Ginger is by far the better choice of the two. The peanut butter bomb offered at Vegetarian Ginger is a huge disappointment as it's not the original peanut butter bomb. Please do not order this thinking it is the vegan peanut butter bomb that we all love and adore. There version is expensive and it tastes like cardboard. I wish this place could find their own identity.

really solid local veg option
I just moved to the hood -- I used to go to this place when it was The Greens -- which I loved -- and was pleasantly surprised to see that vegetarian Ginger isn't some wanky subpar replacement. It's fresh, tasty and fairly healthy. I used to live near Zen Palate in midtown and this is MUCH BETTER. Best dishes: Black Pepper Seitan, Sizzling Platter Soy protein (better than it sounds), Malaysian style curry is really good too. Love this place & lunch specials are super great bargain

Love it!
I've lived in NYC forever and have never been a frequent takeout/delivery person. But, I'm hooked on this place. Delivery is always prompt and even exceptionally fast at non-peak times (like lunch on weekends--but they still have their lunch special). I've liked everything I've had, but I real love the hot and sour soup, the spinach dumplings (steamed) and the General Tso's Soy Protein. I am veggie, so the abundance of veggie choices is great. As a female, I think the portions are huge. All dinner entrees are two meals for me, and I can never eat the whole lunch special (w/the soup). So, for me, it's a great deal. I live between Vegetarian Ginger and Wild Ginger, and I prefer Vegetarian Ginger.

Mmmm Good!
Definitely agree with the positive reviews. The food is fresh, healthy and light. The service is friendly and prompt. The prices are extremely reasonable (dinner for under $10). The portions arent huge but you wont leave hungry. Something for your belly and your wallet to feel good about!

Greasy
Zen Palate gone bad. It tries, but the food I received on two occasions was just dripping with oil. So disappointed. It stinks because it's one of the few vegetarian options in the hood.

I Love it!
This is by far my favorite chinese vegetarian restaurant in NY. The taste is excellent for being a vegan. My husband and I order from them at least once a week. Good value for lunch. We love their black pepper soy protein, Orange soy protein (taste better than orange chicken!), hot and sour soup, wonton soup, just to name a few. We never have any bad dishes from this restaurant. The staff provides good and quick service. Great place to bring your kids with you. The place is clean and roomy. The meal is mostly healthy. I highly recomend this restaurant.
