    Dinner for 2

Ate dinner on a weekday. We felt that the dinner entree was reasonable but the appetizers and desserts were overpriced. We were both told by one of the older staff that we would be asked for two forms of ID if we were to order drinks (we're both in our 30s)--we were annoyed because we had not yet ordered drinks and decided after this comment that we were not going to waste our money on drinks.

    The best dining experience!

Awesome! There are no other words to explain Valbella. We've had 3 more corporate functions there since our first dining experience a month ago. It's great for 2 people, small parties or large groups. They have private rooms in the wine cellar that can seat 30-90 people. It's great! By far the best service and best food in NYC!

    Overpriced, but Beautiful

My husband and I went here for a birthday dinner. The place is very beautiful and the service is good, but the prices were too high for the food quality. We started out with a seafood appetizer, which was very good, but the fish entrees tasted subpar. This place is nice for a drink, if you want to spend $12 for a drink, but the entrees which are between $30 to $50 are not worth it.

    Great space, subpar food

I have friends who couldn;t stop raving about the restaurant and i read the other reviews so I couldn;t wait. I had the zucchini blossom special to start and the chilean sea bass special for my main course. Both were fine, nothing bad but nothing spectacular. We had a great bottle of red wine which was astronomically priced and the napolean for dessert which was good (campagnola has a much better one) i think the food was overpriced for the quality of the food and service.

    Wonderful

Had a business dinner for 8 on Tue and returned with my wife on Saturday because it was so good. David has created a masterful place. The service was perfect...they constantly looked for ques about how to take care of everyone. Wine was reasonably priced and great selection. We'll be back.

    Simply Amazing

I love this place and look foward to every meal. The only restaurant in the tri-state area that is better than Valbella is Valbella in Old Greenwich CT.
