Best Pizza in Town!
I have been eating at V&T since the late 50's and now that I live in AZ, I still make it my first meal when I get back to NYC. Yeh, the guys have a bit of an attitude but It's part of the charm. The last time I was there, we talked to a couple who had just landed in NYC and were doing the same thing we were doing, having there first meal upon arrival at V&Ts. Love It!!!!

Not great, not awful
The pizza isn't great - the crust is extremely bland, almost tasteless. Put salt in your crust, people! The attitude of the guy who took my order was very unattractive. He sounded as though he had better things to do than work there. It's too expensive for what you get, basically. Delivery, however, was fast.

Really Good
If you are hungry and want an amazing family style meal....got get a big VT pizza (i like garlic and eggplant)

New York Pizza
This is the best pizza in New York. My favorite is white pizza with fresh spinach!

Best pizza
My favorite pizza since i was a kid, but you have to eat it there - it's not as good when you order it. eggplant parm is good too and the waiters have always been nice.

Better then Little Italy...
This is one of my favorite italian restaurants in the city (Arthur Ave. doesn't count!) My boyfriend and I have been to many restaurants and absolutely love V & T. They have some unique dishes that you can't get at other italian restaurants, but they have the typical things too. It is not a romantic restaurant, so I wouldn't recommend it for a first date, but it is very comfortable.

GOTTA HAVE MY V&T!!!!!
I've been going to this Italian/Mornigside Hghts institution for 3 years now and can never find fault with either food or service. I always seem to focus on three items on their menu: Fried Calamari, Eggplant Parm Hero, and, my favorite, the Artichoke-topped pizza! I find the service very relaxed but always attentive to my needs and have even been given 2nd glasses of Chianti on the house!!! So there !, to the negative reviews! Maybe it's the way some customers act that brings out the worst in a place ;-) V&T-TOPS BY ME!
