Could they have more attitude?
Pizza solid, old-school. Attitude of servers in restaurant and staff over the phone is painful to deal with. Almost as if you are doing them a disservice by ordering from/eating in their restaurant. Since they've been in business forever, I guess it works for them...but really?

Old style and rude
Have been going to V&T since I was a Columbia University brat back in the 70s. Not much has changed. Yes, the pizza is soggy, you need to scrape it up with a spoon, but that's the fun of it. Kids like it, it is a loud place with messy food. The waiters are mostly no nonsense union types. There is one pretty waitress who works there now, and she is so unbelievably grumpy and rude it's almost funny. Don't go there if you want to impress a date, just drop in with your noisy family and you will enjoy an eventful meal.

Old school pizza and heros
I order delivery from V&T all the time. I usually get a few heros and a pizza for myself and my family. V&T is totally solid. Its hard to find an old school New York Pizza spot these dayz. the Sausage and Peppers Parm Hero is excellent, their Veal Parm and Chicken Parm heros are great as well. Pizzas are tasty and no nonsense. They deliver promptly and always get it right. They are the last of the Old School New York Pizza Spots and I'm glad they are in my hood :)

Poor quality ingredients & preparation
We've tried to be loyal patrons and have ordered from here and gone to the restaurant for years, but we won't be doing so anymore, unless the quality of the pizza improves dramatically. The cheese is tasteless and plastic. The crust is soggy, thick and formless. The sauce doesn't taste fresh but pre-fabricated. We'd be happy to pay more for fresher and better quality ingredients and a better preparation, and we do need a good place in this neighborhood. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, but it doesn't make up for the food.

Love the Staff, the Awesome Pies and the Atmosphere
V & T is what old style neighborhood restaurants are all about. A warm, welcoming staff many of whom are part of the history of the restaurant. The pies. First, pizza being one of my favorite dishes of all (the complete food groups I say) going great with whatever wine or any type of beer one can think, I make it a point of always ordering a pie at any restaurant that serves it and am visiting for the first time. Those who really are pizza fans know that it comes in different types. Soggy and extra saucy being V&T's specialty. And a specialty they should keep. Love the staff, the pies and the atmosphere.

Excellent pizza & service
We were skeptical because of some reviews but we ordered a meat special as suggested by our assistant who used to live near here. They delivered a fabulous flavored (yes, very cheesy & saucy pizza -- we love that) they told us it would be here in 1/2 hr and it was! I say, to each their own and we were very happy.

Soggy mess
Don't know where to begin, after searching the Internet for a restaurant with eggplant parm I decided upon this restaurant. The eggplant Parmesan was drenched in tasteless tomatoe sauce not to mention I could not tell if eggplant was in the dish because it was so soggy. Not only was the few pieces of eggplant tasteless so was the sauce and the cheese. By far one of if not the poorest take out experience Ive ever had (which is a lot seeing as though I'm not a very picky eater).
