so i wrote a review in 2012 & now i have to embellish. my husband & i brought 2 non-vegan friends last night and it was a smash hit! we shared 5 appetizers & 3 entrees and a lovely amount of wine. over the past 2 years, the food has not diminished, nor the portion sizes. but more laudable was the attention our table received from our server. could it be a little less expensive? well sure, but one does get what one pays for and the 4 of us were very happy campers. thanks v-note.

I have not eaten at V-Note in a very long time. The food was better than i even remembered. The food was actually incredible. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. Everyone made sure that we were ok and had everything we needed. Though I am not a vegan or a vegetarian- I could eat this food everyday. I even had the pleasure to meet one of the owners who was a pure delight. This place is wonderful, not only will i go back, but I am going to cater my mothers day lunchoen with them. You must go!

I had a really pleasant dinner here. I ordered the mushroom lentil ravioli and it was SO good. Rich and I couldn't care less if it was vegan or not being that i'm not vegan. My boyfriend got the risotto and he really liked the meaty mushrooms in it. Not only are they a vegan restaurant but they have a gluten free menu which is thoughtful done. I can't wait to go back.

High hopes from positive reviews induced me to try an interesting salad and main course. Both were remarkably dull and impressively flavorless. The core of the entree would have had no taste at all were it not for the acutely-salted sauce -- so salted, in fact, that if there had actually been flavor resident in the viand, it would have been obscured. I'm a nearly vegan vegetarian, so I always appreciate a vegetarian venue to which I can bring even my carnivorous friends; this is not it. Were the food to be appealing -- and priced a little modestly -- the ambiance was pleasant enough. The restaurant was (undeservedly) full and yet it was not so loud that conversation was a challenge, and the service was suitably attentive and clearly wished to deliver. Visually, there was certainly an attempt to give the dishes a nice presentation -- probably the main justification for the menu prices -- although I felt even that could do with a good reworking. I don't know quite what to make of the very positive reviews which precede mine, but I don't doubt my own experience.

I myself am not a vegetarian nor vegan, but my girlfriend is. i made the reservation for a Friday night and we were about 30 min late, i called to let them know ,and they were more than nice. They said no prob well hold your table for you. Dinner was great my girlfriend absolutely LOVED IT! And from a non Vegan i thought the food was great. The organic wine was amazing, we had the pino and you could literally taste the apples in it. Now for service, i have to say great guy! Our initial table that we choose was a little shaky so he offered for us to sit at a couch table even though it was for parties of 4 -6. One it was so much more comfortable and much more intimate! And from a customer POV that what great service is about. We asked not to be rushed and Joe's timing was impeccable. This place is great you can have a a nice intimate dinner or just stop in and grab a bit. I would absolutely recommend!

I visited v-note last year and had a pleasant experience. A coupon brought us there again and i am very happy to say i wont need a coupon to go again. The food was much more memorable this time (maybe a chef change?) I am still kvelling over the sweet potato gnocchi. non vegans will not be disappointed. service was excellent, food was served in very timely manner, and the taste....omg. fab wine list. I got the feeling the staff enjoyed their job. having worked in the food service industry, this is key. and there's the animal rights ethic that is a cornerstone. Omnivores, the staff will be happy to help. Awesome meal. thanks v-note. see you soon.

First time that I have been here and I was blown away by how fabulous the food was. I always go to candle 79 but a friend suggested us trying V-note. Every dish that came out was beautifully presented and delicious. We shared the cape cod cake appetizer and had the seitan scaloppine and another nut crusted seitan with a grilled fig on top. All dishes were very impressive but it didn't stop there. We then had the chocolate ganache cake which had a peanut butter center, absolutely great! I hope to go back very soon! The restaurant was a very pleasant dining experience with good sound muffling curtains and nice service.
