    A Great Night!

I've been to Uva 4 times now, and last night was definitely the best yet. The calamari was the best we ever had, and the burrata tomato salad was amazing. Highly recommend. Service was great too and our waitress made excellent wine recommendations. Great night! We were celebrating our 6 month marriage anniversary and so glad we went to Uva!

    Definitely recommend it!

I went to uva because I had walked by it several times and noticed its cute decor and delicious sounding menu, but I didn't really expect amazing things when I went to eat there with some friends last weekend. Verdict was, it was absolutely delicious. We had a great caprese salad, scallops, fried artichokes, and several other dishes and we loved all of them. It was a fun place to visit and definitely exceeded my expectations. My only tiny problem might be that it really was extremely dark in there -- maybe a tad brighter with those lights?

    wonderful date place

went here on a first date and loved it. I highly recommend this place because the atmosphere is romantic, they have a great wine selection and the food is fantastic. I have been dreaming about their grilled calamari since I ate it.

    Best date ever

I cannot express in words how this place made my evening. The food, atmosphere, and the waitress were all perfect for my date last night. We had the antipasti with the all the delicious meats. For dinner we each had a pasta, both were amazing. Then we finished off with the tirimisu! All this with a bottle of red wine. Amazing wine list!! I will definitely go back. Thanks UVA!

    Very Disappointed

I brought my wife here the other night and the place is comfortable enough inside so I had high hopes. We ordered the gorgonzola salad with pears and it was subpar. The pears tasted like they were marinated in acidic red wine and the gorgonzola was cheap and rubbery. I was hoping things would improve with the entrees but that wasn't the case. I noticed that at the table next to us they had ordered half orders of pasta which I thought was interesting... Until I got my "full" order and realized those are the size of the full entrees.. My wife's gnocci was congealing on the plate as if the food was just heated up from earlier. My bolognese came cold and I had to send it back.

    Great neighbor spot

I went to Uva for the first time a month ago and it is now my favorite resturaunt on the UES. They have great outdoor seating, a nice bar you can grab a drink at even if you arnt dining, and a decent sized dining room with a beautiful fire place, and interesting cozy euro decor. The food is amazing, and the variety of the menu is nice, they have a wide variety of appitizers, salads and cheese, something for everyone,. The host and owners are very nice, but the servers could be a bit friendlier. I recommend everyone try it atleast once,

Go here for dessert (not dinner)

Been here several times. Like many winebars, Uva is crowded, noisy, and has a rustic dark decor. But it's a good size and a nice backyard. The cheese plates and salads are good but the antipastos and main dishes are very, very blandtheir pastas, chicken, fish, all medicore and w/o much flavor. However their desserts are TOP notchthey have a lemoncello mouse with berry sauce that is worth a big write-up. We never eat dinner here anymore, but we frequently go here for wine & dessert.
