Really good Turkish food!
We have gone to Uskudar for years, and have never been disappointed. The service in this small neighborhood restaurant is wonderful, the food a delight, and the small wine and beer list just fine. Try some of the Leeks in a lemon sauce for something a bit different for an appetizer. The Manti, delicate little beef dumplings in a yogurt sauce flavored with mint and a bit of garlic is heaven. Of course the usual lamb and chicken dishes are always favored choices. This tiny restautant is a little gem. Prices, are fair considering the quality of the food, and the personalized, caring service.

Not recommended
The first time we ordered a food delivery from Uskudar we were impressed. Warm and fresh bread, Tender chicken, yummy eggplant souce, it was good food. The second time we had to check if we ordered the food from the same restaurant. The bread was dry and old, the sauce wasnt there, the food was cold and the meat was less then undercooked. When I called to inform them about their poor performance they put me on hold for so long - that I had the time to write this review. There is not going to be third time and we will advise you to save your money (it aint cheap) and order food from other place.

Great kebab!
This place has the best kebab in UES. Personally I love the kebab, and I have tried a lot of places in UES. This place has the best lamb.

Loved Everything About This Place
Worth the trip from mid-town for me! A friend and I had a wide sampling of the food because we ordered the appetizer platter and also the mixed grill. The lamb was tender, wonderfully seasoned, and the kofta was so delicious I declared it would be my next entree. Every appetizer (a generous mound of each) was top-notch, with special honors going to the home-made yogurt. The service (I suspect this is family-owned) was lovely, a lot of warmth, special attention ("Let me heat the pita up for you. BTW, Turkish pita, clearly homemade.) Not a glamorous place, small, narrow, not many tables, but I can't wait to go again. Great menu--and you don't have to be a meat eater. Seafood and at least 10 chicken dishes. Generous pour of wine, too.
