    bad feelings

Even though the food is not bad the service here always leaves you feeling unappreciated. The staff is focused on the "chefs rules" and not the costomer's needs. There is an attitude that the customer is not important and if you are not sufficiently respectful of the chef you will suffer the consequences. No reason to take that kind of attitude.

    wow Meal

This meal is what I call a WOW meal. My husband and I enjoy good food. When we end up at a restaurant that has amazing flavor and taste, we sit there and savor and critique each bite. The meal was amazing. Get the Nigari entree, the sushi glistens and the taste is even better. My dish was the Chirashi or Sushimi over rice as the menu calls it. The sashimi is fresh and savory. Look for the sushi bar chef with a different hat from the rest, that is the head chef. Sit at the sushi bar in front of him. We've done the nice high end sushi. This is a 27 on the ZAGATS! It's a well deserved rating. People, make the reservation.

    great stuff

Love this place. Usually order the 10 or 15 piece chef choice and usually go on a weekday. Fish is fresh fresh fresh. As tasty as stuff from Yasuda, Kuruma for much much less. Great value for the great variety of fresh fish.

Wish I Did a little bit more research

I had made a reseravation and dined with my brother here this week and we were both starving when we left and the the price was not right!!! There are too many good sushi places in the city to charge an arm and a leg and not be satisfied. I felt that everything we did was an issue for the wait staff. I will not go back again and I wish I could reclaim my $$!

Good Quality but SoSo for Overall

Very good Uni, toro and octopus sashimi. I had sashimi special but was little disappointed at the portion (compared to Tomoe's sashimi special). Tried few other nigiri sushi and they were all good quality sushi. The place was packed with Japanese crowd so I guess they are doing something right...I enjoyed it but it wasn't nothing major. From what I remember of the menu, they do have few cooked dishes for appetizers.

    Feels like Japan

So happy I found this place. Its def. a hidden jewel. the fish is soo fresh. we ordere live shrimp and they actually took out LIVE shrimp and peeled it in front of us. it was still shaking on the plate!! doesn't get anymore fresh than that. this place is so authentic, they don't even serve cooked food. It's sushi all the way. kinda pricey but def. well worth it for the dining experience. sit at the bar, thats where all the action is!
