    WORST. WORST. EVER.

We went on Seamless Web and had it delivered, and it was $50 for Scallops wrapped in bacon, urban lobster roll, baked potato, hot chocolate lava cake and artichoke salad. We live nearby so it is fairly quick service. When we received the food, we sat down to eat. When we took it out, we were shocked. We looked at the scallops - 4 1/2 inch round scallops wrapped in a 2 inch piece of bacon, stuck with a toothpick. They were ok in taste, about four out of ten. It was $9.50. Ridiculous price for ridiculous portion. Then, we had the Urban Lobster Roll. Some lobster mix out of a can from the market on a cheap hot dog bun. All you could taste was the mayonnaise. It was $20 - . It had 2 sides, artichoke salad, also from the can [stale and dry] and baked potato, [I've made better myself.] It came with nothing on it and pieces of chive from a cheap seasoning bottle. The chocolate lava cake was good tasting, a little bitter, but only about 2 inches wide, size of a mini cupcake. Overall, this is a terrible place and I do not recommend it to anyone.

    not a fan

I had my food delivered, and the only good thing I can report was that it was prompt. However, my order came wrong. The clam chowder was good but the lobster roll was just insanly disappointing - served on a hot dog bun and meak for the price. Not great. The keylime pie was tiny. Overall, I hate when my food order arrives wrong and the portions don't meet the price. Not a fan.

    You Won't Be Disappointed.

Delivery 2X. Fast, Friendly Efficient. Food is fresh, delicious and well prepared. Realistic prices, nice portions and good value. Try their excellent soups. All their side dishes and deserts are good too.

    great

The owner was super friendly. It's simply a hole in the wall that serves terrific food. Makes it feel shack like and authentic. Take out only obviously. I have yet to find a Lobster roll in the city for less than $25. Yet this one is for $15 and comes with chips, a terrific gumbo, water, crackers, and coleslaw. The gumbo was very tasty, although not as much fish as I'd come to expect from a gumbo. The lobster roll was very authentic and delicious. It is served the traditional style on a hot dog bun, so it's a little small. But together the whole package comes together for the price. Highly recommend it.

    Fresh Fast & Great Value

While reading my Wednesday NY Times I saw the article about the opening of a new Urban Lobster Shack location in the Financial District. Since I work just a few blocks away I grabbed their Lobster Roll special on Thursday. I am not easily impressed by food and frankly I was a bit skeptical when I saw the actual place (it's literally a doorway with some space inside that you can't fit more than 2 customers into at once ), but I waited on line for a few minutes and I must say that this was one of the best authentic lobster rolls I've ever had. They don't try to fancy it up but keep it the way they serve it in shacks in Maine. The lobster rolls was very fresh full of tail and claw meat and had very little mayo and only a bit of celery which was also a very pleasant surprise as for the price I expected lots of filler and found none. Their New England Clam chowder is full of clams and is flavorful without being gummy and thick like so many places in the city serve. On Friday I recommended that we order up since there were only about 20 people in the office. 11 lobster roll specials were ordered by phone-delivered for free! (chowder, lobster rolls, chips, oyster crackers, cole slaw and bottle of water each for $15 including tax) and the order arrived in under 15 minutes! Everyone was very happy. The Urban Lobster Shack menu is now at the top of our delivery pile. A very welcome addition to the area.
