Weird downtown location but good was great
After months of curiosity, I finally wanted to try lunch at this place. I was surprised to see that its a lunch window and was a little worried at first but I saw many people on the line so what the hell. For $15 I got a lobster roll and a nice sized shrimp/lobster bisque and it was great! The lobster was great and the soup was fantastic. I didnt eat the roll didnt need it but it was burn anyway. Overall this a good treat for lunch and it beats the long lines at some of the other restaurants down by Broadway with all the long lines!

Slow But Always Worth the Wait
Yeah, it always takes awhile for my delivery orders to arrive from Urban Lobster Shack, but I've been ordering from them for over a year now so I always make sure to order at least an hour in advance. To me, it's a good sign when a place takes longer to deliver; it usually means that they are busy and the food is fresh because of it. Every lobster roll I've had from them has been delicious, fresh and a great value - cheaper than any other I've found anywhere in NYC or anywhere else for that matter. Rock on ULS!

It never came
Ordered on Seamless Web and was give 15-30 min delivery time. Waited for an hour and 20 mins and called to find out what the hell. Phone rings 1,000 times, eventually a person you cannot understand answers. Hang up, call back, voicemail which tells you to "be patient - all orders take 30-45 mins and longer in bad weather." It ain't rainin' out, Lob Shack. You're disappointing. Never. Again.

Financial Food Gain
Without a doubt Urban Lobster Shack is the best food value in FiDi, if not everywhere in NYC. We never would have known about this place if not for today's WSJ article about their lobster guy who passes out their menus for their Midtown location. It's literally a window in a wall next to Nebraska Steak House, a window you will surely miss due to its small size and the line outside covers up the entrance. Let me tell you, there is a reason for the line. The lobster roll is fresh, full of lobster meat on a toasted buttery bun and they serve it with a salad and a thimble size portion of cole slaw for just 10 bucks. That's not a typo! This is going to be my regular lunching option from here on out. Try it, you'll love it!

WORST. WORST. EVER.
We went on Seamless Web and had it delivered, and it was $50 for Scallops wrapped in bacon, urban lobster roll, baked potato, hot chocolate lava cake and artichoke salad. We live nearby so it is fairly quick service. When we received the food, we sat down to eat. When we took it out, we were shocked. We looked at the scallops - 4 1/2 inch round scallops wrapped in a 2 inch piece of bacon, stuck with a toothpick. They were ok in taste, about four out of ten. It was $9.50. Ridiculous price for ridiculous portion. Then, we had the Urban Lobster Roll. Some lobster mix out of a can from the market on a cheap hot dog bun. All you could taste was the mayonnaise. It was $20 - . It had 2 sides, artichoke salad, also from the can [stale and dry] and baked potato, [I've made better myself.] It came with nothing on it and pieces of chive from a cheap seasoning bottle. The chocolate lava cake was good tasting, a little bitter, but only about 2 inches wide, size of a mini cupcake. Overall, this is a terrible place and I do not recommend it to anyone.

not a fan
I had my food delivered, and the only good thing I can report was that it was prompt. However, my order came wrong. The clam chowder was good but the lobster roll was just insanly disappointing - served on a hot dog bun and meak for the price. Not great. The keylime pie was tiny. Overall, I hate when my food order arrives wrong and the portions don't meet the price. Not a fan.

You Won't Be Disappointed.
Delivery 2X. Fast, Friendly Efficient. Food is fresh, delicious and well prepared. Realistic prices, nice portions and good value. Try their excellent soups. All their side dishes and deserts are good too.
