All 100% vegan to boot. The barbecue soy drumsticks are by far the best mock meat I've ever tasted. There is an overwhelming variety of menu options -- ethnic and American staples, including yummy chickpeas, collard greens, curried potatoes, brown rice, stuffed peppers, many styles of mock meats -- which makes it hard to choose. But since all of the entrees are wholesome and tasty, you can't go wrong. And you get a whopping 4 options if you order a large plate. Also, the servings are very generous. Uptown Juice Bar will definitely fill you up, and unlike other vegetarian places that overcompensate for their meatless cuisine with fake, questionable ingredients, the food at Uptown Juice Bar doesn't make you feel queasy afterwards. But I hesitate to call it health food, because it's just real, delicious food the way it's supposed to be prepared. I think Michael Pollan would not object! And you can have your cake and eat it too! Their deserts are mouthwatering amazing! My favorite is the pineapple upside down cake, which is sweet and moist, light and fluffy. In flavor and texture alone, their deserts rival the best stuff I haven't tried their juices yet, but my goal is to keep coming back and eventually try everything on the menu. It might take me a few years!

This is the best by far vegetarian food I have ever had. It is worth making that trip from Schenectady NY serval times a year. We sometimes drive down here just to get the food and come back home. It's worth it! We need more places like this. Keep up the good work..

Completely addicted to the cheese rolls; I can't recall if the cheese is soy or tofu; but either way, those rolls are very, very tasty, especially, when they are hot from the oven. I always wait the extra 10mins to have them warmed in the oven. Enjoy!

This place is amazing. We've been several times and we're never ever sorry we made the trip all the way from Bushwick. THIS is the place we bring our vegan friends from out of town, and THIS is the place we bring our omnivore New York friends. Everyone is blown away by the great food. Being from the south, where the vegan dining experience is not always so easy to find, a spread like the one at Uptown Juice Bar can sometimes tempt one into piling their plate with the nothing but fake meat - sort of a take it when you can get it mentality. But it would be a shame to do so at the Juice Bar, where the greens and curried mashed potatoes are just as savory as the barbeque chicken wings and stir fry. The pastries are delightful as well. And, unlike other places serving vegan meat dishes, after a meal at Uptown, I don't feel like I've overloaded on grease.

This food is OUTSTANDING, it's as if your not eating vegetarian food at all. The Chef has mastered the ART of cooking vegetarian food with a twist of soul! The food has a unique flavor and has a blend of spices that makes your toes curl.... This place would make you stop eating meat if you haven't already.......SUPERB!!!!

I'm really glad this place is here. This is the perfect combination of healthy and soul. A little grease but not so much you are feeling gross afterwards. I recommend the buffalo soy wings, collards, stirfries with soy products, veggie burgers, and soups. Sometimes when I get a plate I notcie they tend to fill your plate with the vegetables instead of the soy dishes, oh well. I am not sure how they get away selling those soy wings for 1.25 a piece!
