So happy with my pita
The Shwarma is delish, the Grilled chicken is sooo good!! They stuff your sandwich with the best sauted onions and really good eggplant. This is the best hole in the wall place to grab a bite!

Unknown and I like it that way
Really tasty sandwiches. There's the perfect ratio of filling and protein. Try the laffa bread over the pita - it's a more savory option.

Best shwarma in NYC! If you are a shwarma lover, you'll be in heaven

Yes.
This easy-to-miss hole in the wall does a great job. Their tiny display cases hold a wealth of falafel, kebabs, boureks, latkes, soups, salads, shwarma, fish. I particularly love their Iraqi beef kebab. If you want something more than a pita, get your sandwich on a laffa -- a big flatbread. Or a platter! Piled high, Israeli-style, with white and red cabbage, Israeli salad, pickles, eggplant, hummus, tahini, fiery sauce... the guys there are all really nice and generous, tossing you a free falafel ball or two while you're waiting. Prices are a bit steep, because it's kosher, but the quality is worth it. You will probably want to take out, as the little seating area upstairs roasts over the grill fumes.

Quite possibly the best Shwarma in NYC!
I've taken out from University Pita many times, and this place never dissappoints. The Shwarma in particular is amazing - I've tried many (kosher) Shawarma's in NY, but I would say that this is the best one. If you're getting a sandwich, get it in a Laffa. The hummus, on the other hand, is not the greatest, but it'll do.
