An oldie, but goodie. I always know what to expect when I come. I never go without getting the Steak Carpaccio (my favorite place to get it in the city) and they have this Gnocci that is SO GOOD, it literally dissipates in your mouth and is usually too good for words. (typically, I will stare at my date and they will stare back with the same non verbal affirmation) P.S. I usually always get the same waiter. Tall, sandy blonde, european, and so cute. ;)

Let's begin with the WOW. Sugar Snap Pea Salad w/Guanciale Being a lifelong, well traveled foodie, I look to enjoy atmosphere that suits my mood and food quality to be on par w/ $$ and atmosphere. WOW ~ the flavor left an impression so remarkable...sweet , crisp peas dancing in vinigrette blessed w/ shavings of regianno and even better Guanciale ( Roman bacon ...worth looking up my friends). A perfect blend of crisp, fresh herbs ( mint),light acids, sweet pea pod/peas and the smokey/salted bacon who's supplied the oil content of the dressing....yumm The entree was nice, glass of red varietally correct, atmosphere tradition meets breezy painting with wood accents . Staff ;caught by the last round of service were available but not "present," my impression was they had moved on to chores for the close but check on the table. And were urgent to clear despite other guests still present in the dining room and it being 1015 on a Saturday eve. Overall - Clever goes to the Chef. Simple but perfect ingrediants...always triumph, clever combination!!

Went for my birthday and has a wonderful time. Every single dish was superb. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion.

I went for a Birthday dinner and the meal could not have been better. Food was perfectly cooked, interesting flavors and the service was outstanding. All around one of the best dining experiences in NYC. It's been around this long for good reason. Will be going back soon.

I first went here for my birthday years ago to try somewhere special, and now I just keep going back! I've tried a lot of dishes and everything I've had has always been superb and unique. The service is always friendly and accommodating. One of my all-time favs

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in NYC . PERIOD . And if you don't want to take my word on that pick up a Zagat. Any Zagat published over the past dozen years .

made the mistake of going during restaurant week -- not a good idea as they dumbed down the menu. what i expected was what they have on the website; what i got was a huge disappointment. settled for the burger, which was fine, but not what i wanted to eat at usc. further, though the restaurant was not full when we arrived for our 1pm reservation, they still led us to a table in the rafters, though they were kind enough to seat us downstairs when we complained. restaurant is resting on its laurels, don't know if i'll ever go back
