    Overrated!

The food was good, but not worth the price and the decor was just okay. Not as good as Gotham Bar and Grille or Blue Hill.

    A Nice place to eat

Been dying to try this place for years and just happened to have the opportunity this past week. The pasta apps were really tasty. I had the smoked strip steak - it was good but that was about it. Mash and onion rings were pretty tasty. Dessert was not up to par with traditional fine dinning establishments. Dry Warm chocolate cake. Service was top notch though and would give them a second chance by trying another dish next time.

the food is near perfect -

the Lobster Risotta appetizer was a meal in itself and then the chicken was risotto filled - on a bed of sweat mashed pototoes - what a surprise - fish marvelous but too many delicious french fries - great but not good for the cholesterol steak pizzoiola - not phenomenal but good - the broccolia is great - dessert - those of us who have resided in Italy said it was the best panne cotta they have had - fresh mango and pomegranate syrup the dessert and atmosphere is not as grand as its sister Gramercy Park - staff friendly bathrooms - they need something more than the old sailing ship hole - two inside and we nearly had someone crash in while we were going out - tight quarters - yes wonderful bench seat - very New England - environment but the atmosphere is definitely casual - the food wonderful, service consistently good but they got one of the dessert orders incorrect. Hosting - nice - no attitude but the reservations record-keeping is faulty - they had us down for no show for day prior even though we had called and changed the reservation for the next day, different time. a good place to take friends and even your children

    Great Meal

I recently went to Union Square Cafe for Dinner. It was truly an excellent meal. The service was great as well as the food. It was a great experience. Also, had good values for the type of food they served.
