Way too expensive for the (low) quality of food. Pasta was overcooked and the flavors were way off. Service was sub par. The great location and nice, casual atmosphere are completely misleading. A real shame and a waste of space on Smith St.

Brunch. Food:ok Service: Lousy. They have a bit of an attitude at this place. Manhattan prices, inattentive service, like they're doing you a favor. Too many other good places to go and spend your money.

Went on the recommendation of a "local" business person. We sat outside which was fine. Service was slow. They also said they were out of a number of the beers advertised in their drink menu. They said it needed to be updated. We were also billed for a drink we never received. This was later removed from the bill. In addition, prices of food on the menu differed a little from what ultimately was on our bill. Food was nothing special. Went away unimpressed.

I went here on a whim for drinks and dessert with my husband. We were seated promptly, which was good. But the waitress took FOREVER to come! We were sitting there with our menus in hand and no water for quite a few minutes before anyone even came to take our drink order. The food was good, the service could needs some tweaking.

The staff are not the best to ever serve food. Their food is not even that good. Forget about delivery, you will never get what you ordered and they will do nothing to make good. (A large ceaser salad cost $12.50 and came as several pieces of lettuce, a few croutons, some parmesan from a can and and no dressing, called back to order a portebella mushroom burger which arrived as a box of mixed greens. Ended up making my own dinner.)

I've been to Union Smith Cafe twice this year - while the food was fresh, it wasn't anything to write home about - the waiters both times never knew how to serve a bottle of wine - first time, brought the bottle to the table uncorked and already poured, (and the wrong wine was brought! 2nd time, after ten minutes searching, wine was unavailable and when another bottle of red wine was brought, it was warm (room temp doesn'tmean a warm temp) - the waiter didn't know to remove the metal foil wrap close to the bottle neck - wine had to be chilled for 20 minutes - bus boy handled most of the service - why not the waiter?? Won't return after such appalling and inept wait service

I don't know what they put in their burgers but they taste like heaven. Burger heaven. I need to spread the word. The word of burger.
