    A wonderful meal indeed. :)

I was starving in Manhattan with a Greek friend of mine and he convinced me to wait 20 minutes for a table at Uncle Nick's. I am so happy that I did! The restaurant was quaint, a little noisy, and seemed to be the place for birthday parties (I saw at least two there that night). The food was amazing, just like how it is in Greece. I really enjoyed the lemon and chicken soup before my grilled chicken kabob (kotopoulo kebob). My friend and I shared a great bottle of Greek Cabernet, which, might I add, was one of the tastiest Cabernet's I have tried in awhile. :Great service, and a fun place. I loved how they set the saganaki on fire. Near scared me off my chair, but it was all in good fun. :) HIGHLY recommended.

    Glad I tried it

Visiting from Chicago, I am trying to hit all the ethnic places. Sat night was Greek and went there around 845PM and still had to wait about 30-45 mins before a table opened up. Place is cosy but loud and the wait staff was great as was the food. Generous portions of steak on the kabob...however I wish the waiter had asked how i liked it prepared as it was done medium-well but still thankfully tasty. Saginaki was fantastic but at $9 seemed a bit pricy for the portion you got. I haven't been to a lot of greek places to compare this place to but you won't be disappointed in the dinner portion to price ratio here. I would recommend giving them a try.

    Gia Sou Niko

We have made this stop a annual tradition. On thanksgiving eve we emerge into the city from NJ, with the kids and other friends in company to NYC. We check-in at one of the hotels on Broadway, then proceed to the balloon inflating area, where the kids can watch and participate. Then the real treat begins.....UNCLE NICKS for dinner......what a place, the ambience, service and quality of food is above standard. Take it from a fellow Greek that knows this cuisine......Not to be missed, make sure to order the house specialty Saganaki.....the flaming cheese plate...have a good time, and bring the briosci.....

    Food, Folks and Fun

Don't visit Uncle Nicks if you're looking for a quiet romantic evening...if however, you're interested in generous portions, a lively atomosphere, and simple but fulfilling food, you're in the right place. The chicken kabobs are moist on the inside crisp on the outside, the gyro platter is enough to take home for lunch the next day... and the wine is fabulous...the lettuce on the greek salad unfortunately, was a bit old, but i am quite sure that this was an anomolie...would def. go back...this place is a keeper...

    Great authentic Greek food

As someone familiar with homestyle Greek cooking, I'm often turned off by "Greek" food served at restaurants. However, Uncle Nick's proved to succeed in offering authentic Greek dishes as well as excellent service. The servings are very large, and as hungry as I was, I couldn't quite finish my whole meal. I ordered a kebob and gyro combo and it was better than anything served at Greek restaurants back at home (San Francisco area). I'd definitely go again.

    Fabulous without being pretentious!

This place is wonderful. I go all the time and still can't get enough of it. It is very reasonably priced and everything I have tried has been terrific. It is definitely not a pretentious place like so many other NY establishments. It's just good food, in a good atmosphere, for a great price. Highly recommend!

    This place is awesome!

In NYC for a long weekend and had been to so many Italian restaurants on previous trips I was craving a change. The Concierge gave me 3 different greek places to try, she circled Uncle Nick's as her favorite. We checked it out and had the best meal of the weekend! Flaming Saganaki, greek salads, gyros and greek wine were all the best I have ever eaten. The staff was so friendly and professional. Stop by on your next trip, you won't be disappointed.
